Today unfortunately, no pics the lights shut off before I could get some. I got alot done today. First I cleaned the shit out of F1. I used iso and water in a mister and wiped every surface and pole. Then I misted and wiped the equipment. I’ll be honest I probably didn’t do a good job with that but we will see if any PM shows up in the future.
I transplanted kosher kush #3 into a 10gal living soil pot. The kosher cookies 1 and 2, purple punch, and white widow are all in 5 gallon pots. I’ll probably flip them on the first of the year. Maybe a week after we will see how they do.
Kosher kush in the little 2x2 dry tent is looking and smelling great! The buds are small but I know it’s the light. It’s only 100w
Veg- I fed the kosher cookies 1&2, white widow, and kosher kush 1&3. 2T of dr.earth veg and watered with a pump of the liquid dr.earth 2-2-2. It only lasts about a week but I’m hoping it will speed up

The D (original diesel) look great! They are moving along just fine! I gave them 1/2T of the dr.earth dry amendments for shits and gigs.

Well I think I’m going to have to start over with brand new soil. Once i started mixing in my own compost, my plants have not been preforming well. If I had to guess, I’d say that my compost has too much carbon in it. I’m sure it’s over all imbalanced as well but, I really think the pine to poo ratio was off. Once I started adding the bedding from the chickens to the compost, I started working alot and not cooking as much. This lead to a weaning of the table greens into the compost. Which lead to the compost being mostly chicken poo and pine at the end. I’m going to dump the soil I’ve been using for 4 years and start from scratch. I’m not sure if I will just buy ocean forest (or some other soil) or if I will try the coots mix. I guess that will depend on what soil or compost is available. It sucks to admit defeat but hey you can’t win them all. I’ll post the plants later on tonight. I’ll have a full update too.

I went to the hydro shop in Columbus last Friday and the had one lone bail of soil. Went to the north side of town and they was busier than I’ve even seen but still had promix ho in stock. Not sure where you I assume Ohio tho lol
I’m on the east side of Cleveland. You know, I have yet to go to a hydro store. I may have to make a trip. I really dont want to be stuck with “organic” miracle grow from home depot.
The D! It’s original diesel from Cali connections. These girls are doing great! 100% germ rate and they are moving along just fine! We’ve got 2 with fatter leaves. Ones got the fattest leaves for sure. I’ll be keeping an eye on her since so far she is standing out. All are the same size. The only defining factor is leaf width. I’ve never used Cali connections before, but they have been around for a while so we shall see what’s up come harvest time.
Hello to any one reading this! I know I’ve been real shitty with my updates and pictures. My passion recently has been stiffled by stress from work. The good news is I’m back! Some of my plants don’t look great, but as previously stated I’m dumping my soil after 4 years and starting new. I found that the ace hardware by me sells ocean forest happy frog and another organic bagged soil so I will be stopping g there on my way home tonight to pick up some more soil. I was very surprised at how good aces garden section is. It blows home depot out of the water and really competes with local garden stores around here. I haven’t ventured out to any hydro stores yet but that will be next on this list for things to tackles for this grow! I will give a full update with pictures when I get off work tonight. I just wanted to say that I’ve reignited my passion and I’ve spent alot of time on here scrolling and trying to make some friends. Welp that’s it for now keep posted for tonight when I do a full detailed update of the girls!
When I got home lastnight there were 6 kids under 10 at my house so checking on the plants wasn’t an option. Today however I got home to a quiet house and immediately started transplanting The D into 1gal pots with fox farm ocean forest.
Idk what happened but okay here we go!
Picture number one is flower 1. Those girls don’t look happy. This time I used compost I made and it was pretty imbalanced so these girls aren’t happy. I’m not sure what it’s lacking but I do know where I fucked up. I did t add enough green material to the pine and chicken shit. So I added 3 solos of ocean forest as a topdress. The girl in the 10gal got 5 solos. We will see how they do In the next few weeks. I watered them with the dr.earth liquid nutes 2 days ago and they got some recharge and tm-7.
They will be flipped in a few weeks once they start turning around. I was aiming for the first of the year but idk if that’s going to happen.
Picture 2 and 3 are my kosher kush! When I opened the tent today I was blasted with kushy goodness! She’s got a few more weeks left. Maybe 1/7? I’ll ha e to check the trichs and let yall know. I haven’t grown her out yet so we will see how long she flowers. This one got the same soil as the other girls but I think the higher humidity in this tent plus topdressing pretty soon After transplant(not on purpose) kept her on track. She seems like a lighter feeder from what I can tell. I do t have a clone of kk2 unfortunately but hey those roots didn’t pop for a reason.
Picture 4 and 5. Obviously I’m showing off my expensive ass soil. I’ve never paid close to 40 bucks on a bag of soil before so here it is in all its glory! All jokes aside I have a place in my little growing heart for this stuff. This is the dirt my uncle used in his garden when I was in my early 20s. I had always been a pot head but his plants were the first I got to see and get my hands on. I lived with him for a while and we cropped out 2 times when I lived there. He had pretty much given up on the plants. We just transplanted when they got big enough, cut clones when we needed, and flowered under a 600watt hps or MH I’m not sure which. I don’t ever remember feeding g them or too much defoliation. Just a very simple process with not great results. Idk if he popped seeds. If he did they were bag seeds. All the plants looked different and thier were males we had to pull. If he got clones, which I think he did. He got them from one of his coked out friends and they weren’t any better than the random plants we had. My first run on my own was 5x better than the shit we got from when I lived there. I’m sure my uncle grew better shit before this. He had grow houses and shit. By the time I lived with him he was pretty coked out.
The veg tent! The D are the 4 girls on The front right of the tent. They just got transplanted into the ocean forest. Thier roots were some of the nicest and fullest of any plants I’ve grown thus far! I’m very impressed with these plants! December 3rd they were tiny seedlings just popping out. Now

The 5 girls on the left and back are the same as the 5 in flower except I have a kk1 clone instead of purple punch. The rest are kk3 kc1 kc2 ww.

Haha yeah man I was so enamored by them. I just used to sit in the crawl space and look at them.
The first plant I ever grown on my own was under my bed in my mom house lol I would get up under the bed as a stoned teenagers and just lay by it. Never flowered I didn’t know the 12 12 light cycle at the time. Mom never caught me on this one lol
That’s hilarious! My first plants ever grown were some Reggie seeds I put in an empty water bottle that fell behind my desk in college. I went to move out and I found 6, week/week and a half old seedlings still growing strong. Hahaha
Picture 1. This is flower 1 under the mars hydro fc3000. These girls look rough but I can assure you they are on the upswing now. I topdressed with some ocean forest and they got watered with recharge a few days ago.
Picture 2. Kosher kush #2! This girl smacks you in the face when you open the tent! Her pistils are starting to turn so, I’m thinking we may be harvesting the end of the first week of the year but, only the trichs will tell.
Picture 3 The D! These girls are doing se well! They are about 21 days from popping out of the jiffy pod. They have 4 or 5 nodes a piece and they were topped 2 days ago. These girls are going into f1 after the 5 thay are in there now get finished. This time crunch sucks! I will be flipping f1 on the first of the year. Lime I said they are turning around. I still need to clone the purple punch but I also have more seeds from the pack I popped her from. (They are actually bag seeds from an old dealer of mine. I’ve popped maybe 7 or 8 and they have all been similar!)
Picture 4. The veg tent as a whole. The older girls are also on the rebound. I will be resetting those girls here soon. They are the same as the girls in f1 except I have another kosher kush instead of the purple punch.
I’ve been working hard in the garden the last week to try and turn things around. It feels good knowing I can solve my own issues. I’ve been doing this for 4 years now and I feel like only now I’ve got a good understanding of just the basics even really. The plants have been showing me the energy I have put into them and it feels good.
Well Christmas was good to me! I didn’t think I was getting much or anything really but I did manage to get enough money to get a new light for another flower tent! I bought another fc3000 from Mars hydro. This will probably be the last one of these bad boys I’ll be buying. The lights work out great but, I hope the next time I need a light it will be for a bigger space. I suppose it would also be worth mentioning that I think I’ve reached a point with my hobby to where I don’t really want to be buying entry level gear anymore either. I love this shit and don’t see me stopping g any time soon so, money invested in this will be invested wisely.
I’ll be throwing The D into f2 once they fill thier 1gal pots more. They just got transplanted so they are fine for the next 3 weeks. After that I’ll put them into the 10gal living soil pots, with brand new soil. I’m pretty excited for what the future holds. All my girls are on the upswing or still kicking ass. I wasn’t expecting to get a new light, to be able to fit f2 back up and running, and the genetics I’ve got going now are all pretty legit. I still need to see what the kosher kush, kosher cookies, and the d, look like in the end but so far so good. I’ll post pics once inve got f2 up and running. The light should be here Thursday so maybe then or maybe Friday. This is the end of today’s rant! I didn’t mention earlier. I’ll be putting up my Mars hydro 39’x39’ (3x3) tent, with the fc3000, and an AC infinity oscillating fan. I will be connecting this tent with my current flowering tent thru the vents to utilize the Carbon filter for both tents. So it will look exactly like it used to ealier this year! I will be running 10gallon living soil pots in my grows for the most part going forward. I see this year 2024 the year I step out of the beginner realm entirely and into the intermediate/advanced realm. With the addition of another good flower light, bigger better pots, good genetics, and new soil, I am ready to start the next chapter!
Hello! So I have been thinking about what goals I have for this hobby for the year of 2024. Most of what I have wanted to do thus far I have done! The things I want to accomplish goes as follows.
- Buy genetics from csi, Freeborn selections, and or 707 seedbank
- Work hard on reamending my soil
- Grow outdoors in 10gallon pots!
This year’s goals are pretty easy and super obtainable! I just hope I find some keepers, have some great harvests, and maintain my cycles!
