I know I suck at taking pictures but here’s the 9 French macaroons. The front right you can see how green the plant in the plastic pot is compared to the ones in the fabric. The under watering lead to shriveled leaves that were already turning yellow. But everything still seems to be on track. When you open the tent this skunky almost chocolate-y wall of stank just hits you. This stuff is far from the fruity side and I am digging it. Over all this grow compares to the other times I’ve grown her out. This may be the best run of her yet!
MH2 the plants hit 14 days hanging tomorrow. I don’t think I’m taking them down for another day or 2 though. There is still a bit of play in the stems close to the nugs.

I just trimmed up the alien Bubba. I was able to roll up all the trim in 2 joints. It was real hairy and a breeze to trim. I think the whole plant got me like 3/4oz though. It’s got s pretty heavy stone after one trim joint. The joint burned well tasted fine for a trim joint and had a nice little resin ring. It smells skunky and kushy. I’m glad I’ve got stuff the isn’t citrus or sweet. I miss old school weed (if you couldn’t tell by the strains and banks I use) so I’m pretty stoked to see this stuff curred up. I’ve decided to pop 2 more seeds of this stuff to see if I can get one that isn’t so runty. This thing was like 13inches tall. just a little Christmas tree haha. The bubble gum have like 2 more days the stems in between nuggs are still pretty green. That tents pretty dank this was a turning out to be a good run.

My damn cat thought my trim bin with 2 plants worth of trim was cat nip and tracked it all over the basement. I thought he had shit stuck to the back of his legs but nope it’s trim and larf stuck to his ass!

I was finishing trimming up the last of my bubble gum when I decided to check the French macaroons tent. They are all done about a week or 2 earlier than I was expecting. I’ll be chopping down the tent later in the week when I have time. Tonight I’ve got to transplant the 3 udog and 1 purple punch. They will veg for about another week or 2 then they will be flipped. I planted 3 alien Bubba seeds and 2 blueberry headband seeds a few days ago and none have popped out of thier jiffy cubes yet. They are on a heating Mat set to 79 degrees and they are in my clone dome. I really hope I didn’t some how mess them up. This is how I pop all my beans

The first picture is my veg tent. I’m so glad I’ve got those udog in 3gal pots out of there. That French macaroons mom will be broken down into clones here in a few days. In the little dome I the bottom right are the 3 alien Bubba and 2 blueberry headband in jiffy cubes. 3 days and still no sprouts. Now I’m getting g worried. They are on a heating mat set to 83.
Second picture are the 3 udog in 5gal pots and one purple punch also in 5g pots. The root balls in the 3g pots were pretty big and healthy. I hate transplanting from anything bigger than 1gal pots. The purple punch had a nice root ball as well bright white and it filled out the 1gal pot. I watered in recharge and big 6 micro nutrients. I’ll be top dressing on the first to keep everything on the same schedule. I was thinking I’d keep them in veg for a week but I may prolong that by a few days so I’m chopping g right before the new year. We will see.
I’ve decided that the alien Bubba might be the best weed I’ve grown. I’m So bummed the clones I’ve got are from that tiny little runty plant that only gave me 14g. It’s this dark chocolate coffee kush that smacks you but gives you the giggles. I really hope those 3 seeds sprout those are my last 3 and I’d really really like something g that preforms abit better.
I’m resetting the French macaroons mom and taking clones of the purple punch I was going to take clones from the big bubble gum and alien Bubba later and use them as moms but now I might just take clones and use all 9 of the plants in veg I’ve got. The total yeild for MH2 on the last run was 73g from the 3 bubble gum and 14 from the alien Bubba. Which is kinda upsetting but 3 zips from 4 plants will last me a while. I was hoping for 1oz per bubblegum and only achieved that on the big one 33 20 and 20 on the bubblegum respectively.
I’ve got so.e outside compost that’s been cooking for a few months. I’m want to bring it inside and see how it preforms but the thought of bringing in unwanted pests scares me. I’ve only had pm once on my Second or 3rd grow which was in veg and i used milk other that that and soil mites I haven’t even had fungus gnats. Anyway if you guys have any ideas on quarantine for the compost or another precautionary measures I should take let me know.

MH1 I checked the trichs on the French macaroons last night. I’m going to give them a few more days. I have decided my final thoughts on the fabric pots. I do not like them. They dry out too fast and being only 3gallons they dry out even faster. In addition to that 3gal organics is doable but you have to keep up with them alot more. Which is the opposite of why I went organic. Next run will be in the 5gallon pickle buckets. These are great because they were free from work and the lids are great saucers. I’ve been toying with the idea of drilling holes up the side of the buckets for more oxygen to the roots. Maybe I’ll do a side by side after this next run. I’ll do one run with the 5 gallon pots in a full tent to see how that goes then try adding the air holes in the next run.
MH2 the 3 underdog og and 1 purple punch look good. I’m seeing discoloration in some of the leaves but I chalk that up to being do crowded and slightly neglected in the veg tent. I was just thinking and I may flip the same day I chop down MH1 then I can line up the schedule to flip when MH2 is half way done with flower.
Veg one of the blueberry headbands popped but that’s it. It looks great but I’m letting the other ones ride out. I’ve got the space and I really want them to all pop. All the other plants looks good. I’m toying with the idea of flowering the French macaroons mom after I take some clones just to keep up the plant count because the bubble gum were shit yeiders. The alien Bubba wasn’t a big yeilder either but it’s so good I’ll let it live. After this run of bubble gum we will see if I keep it around. It’s been in jars for a few days but so far I’m not impressed. I’m not sure what the game plan is after all these plants on 1g pots are moved. I’m definitely doing a FM PP run since I’m taking clones soon but idk what’s going on with these seeds and even just getting that little alien Bubba “mom” big enough to take clones. I still have the exodus cheese tangerine dream and white widow seeds to pop. I’m looking to get away from the sweet stuff. I’ve grown alot of it so far and I’m not a fan. I like the dank dark terps for sure. The high that comes with those terps is better too. I always feel like the fruity shit isn’t as potent. That’s just my experience so far.
That’s what I’ve got for today. I’m going to do some research into how to take better pictures. Part of the reason why I do t post so many is because especially with nug shots I can never get the pictures to look as good as in real life. Any way take it easy.

I get what you say about the bags drying out too quickly. I like them because you never have to worry about the plant becoming root bound. Well, not much anyway. I had a couple that had such thick root balls that it was hard to test the soil deeper than an inch or two.
I like the bags but I will be going big with a sativa or two next year. they will be in 20~gal pots.
Yup, volume to surface area ratio is working against them.
I did find an improvement on regular 5G cloth pots…
These ones have a waterproof liner extending from the top to a couple inches short of the bottom.

Yeah if I had a drip system or something they would work but I know all my biology is dormant since it’s dried out a few times. 3 gallon for organics isn’t ideal either i know I wouldn’t have these problems if I had the 20 gal pots. Oh well you live and you learn. I’ll just use them out side or ill cut them into strips for an idea I have. What sativa are you running next year? I’ve always wanted to run one but that’s some thing I’d have to plan out.

I’ve seen these! I’ve also seen guys use plastic wrap on thier raised beds which hey if it works it works. I’ll look into investing in these in the near future but for now it’s the buckets. I’ve used them from the start and now that I’m really trying to dial other aspects in. I’ll keep the pots consistent while working on scaling up and the content of my soil. Thanks for the link! I’ve wanted to try these out and at 6 bucks a bag you can’t beat it! I’ll grab some around the start of the new year.

I’ve got the short list down to the Mexican sativa(ish) Santa Maria, the Jamaican cruise, the Kampuchea Red, the Viet. Black, or the Sunrise Thai OhGrow.
Most likely it’ll be only two strains.

Here is a side by side of the fabric pots and the plastic pot. As you can see the plastic pot still looks great since it’s always had adequate water. All though there are a bunch of dead leaves these girls nugs look great. They will be coming down this week when I find the time.

Welp I tired the pro setting on my camera. There is a macro setting as well but I haven’t really messed with it yet. Hang in there eventually I’ll figure some shit out.

Yes it does. I may try a small plastic pot on one next run just to see how I like them. I’ve had good success with the bags but you never know.

Exactly! I started with plastic pots because I had them. I wanted to try fabric pots and gave it a shot. I don’t like them for my setup. If I were running an eb and flow table I think they would be perfect but for organics it’s been rough. I’m sure my biology is dormant. The moisture has been too inconsistent.
I understand that. I do a full water and then the next day I do a partial watering. That day I only do the ones that I know need more. Then of course they flower and drink drink drink. lol
I made a game time decision. The French macaroons mom is now in MH2 with the 3 udog anand one purple punch. I’m still taking clones from the top since she is so much bigger than the others. I’ll clean her up some more too so she’s ready for the flip in a few weeks. I’ve got my jiffy pucks ready to take clones tomorrow. 4 from the French macaroons ND 4 from the purple punch in the 1g pot.
I took a peak at one of the alien Bubba seeds in the jiffy puck and its popped so I was as gentle as I could be and were still going to wait those other 4 seeds out. The one blueberry headband seedling looks great. I’m going to wait to see some roots pop out the bottom of the puck before I put her into the solo cup. I’ve also decided that I’m putting all of the bubble gums in 1g pots into the MH1 tent. So in a few weeks I’ll just have the dome a few solo cups and one alien Bubba in the veg tent.
MH1 the girls will probably get taken down. Sunday night they are almost ready I want to push them as far as I can with out further fucking up the watering.
