Old seed bank catalogues

I think the price could double from where it is now, hopefully where eagles dare. :crossed_fingers:

That’s wild! I saw them end around $160 each, but I guess there is extended bidding after the fact? Or maybe the last second bids hadn’t tallied yet?

I wonder if these actual get paid. They went for a lot more than I expected and honestly more than I think they’re worth. Ones budget definitely influences what something is worth so I can see someone with deep pockets paying whatever just to have it. If I could I’m sure I would too! You certainly called it @buckaroobonsai, well done and quite impressive! Nice seeing this thread active with these sort of things, I think it’s endearing to think items like this will make themselves into the collections of passionate hobbyists and cannabis enthusiasts alike. Much love

absolute madness…I think I know the buyer but he has the money for things like this… But seriously there were multiple people willing to pay this crazy amount… Watching it was a rodeo! Felt like I was spending my money but I’m not that loco…

Def paid… And I think you needed to update the page. I have auto update when a bid is placed… Felt like I was gonna be sick at one point…

Multiple people willing to spend what I could spend in a month on one catalogue…

Like I’ve said before there are some big hitters out there pushing prices high…

Why not when your part of a new multi billion industry… Bet they won’t even notice that coming out of Thier account!

Just noticed the same seller put up another auction for another 87 Seed Bank Catalog with the starting price of $999. Looks to be the same pictures they used from the previous auction so not sure if they’re relisting the same item again or just using the same pictures to sell another copy of the same catalog.

I’m definitely putting some effort into sourcing some of these originals. There’s got to be a decent amount in Europe and across the globe still to be found for a bargain. Much love

Just saw this… Got to the a bidder pulling out… In all honesty I didn’t think that would go over 400…500 at most…then it just kept going…

I just hope maybe someone bought it… photocopied it then sent it back…

If anyone did do that please post it so we can see it in its glory!

So many in Amsterdam… Literally can think of a good few places to look when I go there soon…

Berlin also because in the eighties they had very different print laws to the rest of most of Europe…a little like Canada (for the USA)… If you couldn’t print in France Denmark etc… Go to Germany

Just seen that the relisted seed catalogue has disappeared… Not sold just gone…

And now there’s another for auction by the same guy and one for buy it now… Honestly for the price he got for the first one I think I would have found a good printer and had a few run up… Must be like printing 50£/euro/dollar bills!!!

Remember back in 1970 whan I got a catalog from Amsterdam - wish I would have ordered - ended up giving it away - If i rememeber right there 13 different strains

Sensi said they “re-launched” Four Way in 1995. Maybe Positronics continued to sell the original lineage?

Compared to the last one sold someone got a mega bargain. Or someone over paid last time whatever way you look at it

Noticed that go for a decent deal in comparison to the last one to sell. I wonder if the first one ever got paid as the pictures used for both listings looked identical.

I felt like I missed out on this one after seeing what it went for but in hindsight I think my resources would be better spent elsewhere. Another pack of seeds or a thicker more scholarly book. I’ve got a long list of books I want to collect and as much as I’d like some of these catalogs they’re just too expensive for me to realistically justify the purchase.

Still hoping to come across one for a deal someday but would be just as happy with a reprint. Of course it would be awesome to have an original but more than that I really just want the experience to view it and look at it in a physical form not online only.

Does anyone know where some good scans are of these catalogs or if anyone has them and wouldn’t mind scanning them I would love to get some reprinted out for my personal collection. Thinking about reprinting for my own collection the titles that I’m having trouble finding, so I can enjoy them until I’m able to find an original copy, if at all. Brand new to this sort of thing so any advice or opinions on reprinting old works would be greatly appreciated.

I’m coming across a lot of PDF versions of some titles that aren’t that easy for me to find and I’d like to make them more enjoyable to read in a physical copy vs reading them on a phone or computer screen. Much love

if anybody has well stored seeds from that era, especially Super Skunk, Silver Pearl or Early Girl as well as others, just hit me up…

that’s history. but some of these plants don’t look healthy imho

I like the way they show us the differences of the strains, they all unique and have their own style

Anyone have a Seed Bank catalog with the picture of Garlic Bud on it?..I mean the photo is phenomenal, never had I seen such a resin coated bud…it’s obviously shot with flash, but none the less still a stellar photo.
