It’s because the site has a higher level of traffic then when the 10 % reading was set. Now that the site has a higher level of traffic it needs to be adjusted or this will just get worse and worse and then only people that are on here constantly will be level 3 not nessesarily the people that deserve it.

So all the newbies are bumping us longer time members out of 3 status just because of their posting.
That’s not right, the ones that do the most for the site should have uninterrupted 3 status.
Another case of ya did that yesterday but what can you do for me today.

Yeah this. Seen a few threads just over the last couple days that people are using as instant messenger, 300+ posts inside of 36hrs.
The read requirement is a set percentage of new posts read. Not positive it’s 10% but pretty sure its right around there. Eventually here, not much longer really, there will be so many posts a day that it will literally be impossible to read the required amount in the given time in order to be lvl3. it needs set to a flat number instead of a percentage of the total.

At the bottom, it looks like there was 41k new posts in the last month, so if that avg holds, there’s 123k posts in 100 days… carry the one… you need to read ~30750 posts in the last 100 days to be a regular

I think a big question to ponder is what does TL3 do for you beyond TL2? With the Regular Emeritus badge you have TL3 abilities for all seed runs and such. Actual trust comes from interactions with fellow OGers. So is being listed as TL3 really that important? Just some food for thought.
