For buckets with clay pebbles,
Fill the bucket with clay pebbles, using a pitcher slowly add water until it gets to your desired level taking note of how much water you added. This will give you a value that you can than multiply times the number of buckets needed.
Determining water level is more important when transplanting a new clone. If the roots don’t reach the water level you must top feed for a few days.
Clones; roots from a water cloner are better than rockwool because they will grow long and when you transplant they will be in the wet zone. I am using rockwool for clones only because of the amout of clones needed.
hope you didn’t work yourself to death…I think I speak for all of us when i say…we are all on the edge of our seats waiting to see your finalized setup
Like @Roux said bro thanks for the picks even tho you were tired, i wish i could be there with you and smoke a fatty after all the hard work. I also believe you enjoy it greatly…
So on each bucket…how are you making it water tight, are you using a rubber gromet to secure the T-connector? Very curious on an ebb and flow of this size.
Yes, 3/4inch everywhere. Each row of 30 is fed by 3/4 inch also. Eah row is connected to the next in 2 points. A rubber gromit on each bucket with a T wrapped with teflon tape. I will pictures tomorrow
Good time to say that clear hose is not what you want, black hose is the best, or even garden hose. I will probably paint the top of the hose black. 200 buckets x 2 sides of the T is a shit load of connections. Clear hose is the easiest to slide on the T.
Good help is hard to find! So I asked my partners to send me some help for a few days to wash the hydroton and carry buckets and clean. Man, the kid they sent me must have a.d.d. I already got pissed and had him leave. He seriously told me his back was tired after sitting on a stool watering for a hour when I was on my knees transplanting all morning. I also realize that I enjoy the privacy of being alone with the plants and the radio.
Kids these days man! My brother in law is like 15 years younger than me, he’s a complete sissy. It seems like he was born tired… I tell him all the time in front of my mother in law (she hates my guts) so, i do it on purpose, the guys doesn’t say anything, and looks at his mom for re-assurance! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
My only thought is, what’s he gonna do when his mom’s not around!? Poor guy. The worst thing is his mom thinks she is protecting him and hekping him. But he lacks life skills. A 29 yr older living with his mom and depending on her… Not good.
I am teaching my girl not to depend on a man (or woman, cos’ you never know), she needs to be brave and be there for herself. She is 6 yrs old and does everything by herself. Woman are all gonna lack real man around to go thru life, all because: “I need my safe space mommy cos’ words hurt”
I hire and fire many young kids throughout summer in my kitchen…I would have to say maybe 5% I kept because of there work ethic…the others complain about working more than 5 hours a day and constantly had to take breaks or eat…for only a 5 hour shift!
Kids these days…that’s why I only spend any time mentoring the good ones.
