Oni's 2nd grow. Lessons learned

All watered and now I wait to see how they handle the new watering style.

The water didn’t climb up above the spot the rootball was placed on while it was sitting in water.
Last time it took a little bit to spread, but it definitely moved the water up the bag.

Now I have to figure out how I’m going to hang up the blackout curtain in there. I’m thinking about taking the hanging bar up top and feeding the curtain through it.

All the plants have been moved around to a new spot for better light penetration. I don’t want to move anything around until I get a game plan or I’ll be in there all day arranging crap messing with the environment too hard.

Zelda is drinking fast. The fabric pots only gained water up to a quarter way up the pot visibly from the outside.

I grabbed the packages and I’m finally opening them to get it all set up for the lucky 7s when we start.

So much stuff inside:slight_smile: thank you so much!:hugs:

How should I go about getting the soil ready for the lucky 7s? You have been reminding me and I want to do it sooner than later of course.

Is black gold soil still recommended for me to grab? There’s a store local that has a 16qt bag for $7. That’s about 21 for what I’m needing to get them all in a bigger pot.

Thats a great question… The EPA says a steam vaporizer did not disburse measurable amounts of minerals
Indoor Air Facts #8

Get your space sectioned off 1st then we’ll go over that

If thats all thats available, it’ll work though may need to supplement it with earthworm castings

I tried to hang the curtain. It won’t fit over the bars in the tent. I tried to use it’s own rod to get it over and it was too short. By 3"

I’m really getting overwhelmed if I’m being honest. I can’t figure out how to hang anything else. I already moved the zmean that was in front together with the one on the right touching unfortunately, but I have 2 bars to hang from and the cord length makes it nearly impossible to find a spot for them. I can’t wait until they’re out and replaced as this is ridiculously annoying having the lights thrash around in there from the slightest nudge.

As for cardboard I have all the cardboard I’ll ever want from my tent. No tape though😅

Actually what dimensions am I trying to make in the tent? 1x1, 2x2, or something else?

And the new spots to allow a section to be isolated for the lucky 7s. I’m still stuck on finding something I have that can go there. I have the 7 gallon pot filled with the old soil I worked. No plans for it. It was just in the way here outside of the tent.

My thoughts are to use a box that I have in the size I’m separating. as you see in my pictures my options are pretty much to poke holes in the tent or hope I can asspull a solution I can’t find. I only have 1 blanket and I’m using it. I have no tape.

The best I can do is try for a rope hanger solution to hang the blackout curtain, but even then how would I get the lights in there?

Hey @OniTenshu, you can still hang the curtain off the bars with string or zip ties or shoe laces or something a 3" gap at the top will mostly be shade and will help with ventilation & temp control in a smaller space :grin:

I’ll give it a shot. I’m still not sure how big an area I’m isolating.

Probably about a third…:grin:total guess:grin:

I go the stuff to wire up the driver finally and now the QB can go in once I find out how I’ll be doing that. For now I’ll wire it up.

Here’s tonight’s pics. First day of 18/6 for them.

Zelda is throwing pistils out all over the tips now. The calyxes I see forming on Daisey completely dwarf her original ones that are throwing out all the hairs looking like delicious pineberries.
Diana is looking to be days away from harvest at the rate she’s eating her leaves. I might just try pressing her for oil immediately after harvest rather than drying or curing her. Depending on if I shouldn’t or not😅 too small a amount off her to really care TBH.

I checked and Diana is at 20% Amber heads now. Any time I want to harvest now I guess LoL. Turns out she’s stayed on schedule

Will do :+1: if it helps that’s cinnamon on the base:sweat_smile:
Yeah I need to clean it though. A lot of stuff is happening for me RN that I’m not venting about here, but I’m doing my best to keep on track no matter how overwhelmed I get and how many panic attacks I get through the day.

I’m fortunate that I have a little bit of Seroquel as without it I’d have freaked out, shut down, and zoned out staring at a wall like a mental patient when I was scrambling to figure out the curtain situation as more than anything I don’t want to modify my tent structure with a hole in the top. Instead I was full of anxiety while forced calm in my body allowing the feeling to pass without getting worse.

Breathe easy my guy. I once was riddled with crippling anxiety. Then I had a snap that no matter how much I stressed that my actions did not alter the results. Sit back, put your feet up and smoke a fat one. Clear your mind and allow peace, calm, and tranquility to take over. It’s all gonna be aight.

I would if I had any left😅

Just stand in the tent and play some Marley, bask in the “sun shine” and emit positive vibes to the plants. They are alive, they feel you and the way you feel. I’m in the garden rn Marley jamming and I’m singing to the plants lol. One love :+1:

I usually do when I have the chance. They’re asleep RN, so I’ll be relaxing and heading to bed also. I’ll snap pics when I wake up.

Calling it on Diana now. She’s in my window outside the tent. Chilling until I decide she’s good to pull today. Or until I stop procrastinating :joy:

Driver wired up now that I figured out how to use the wagos😅 output cord length is 8’ 8"

Should I cut the length of the cord at all? Since I’ll be connecting the boards as well and that will make it longer than 10’ output length.
