You never know. Looks pretty normal though to me, seen it quite a few times. In my experience it could go a few ways.
-They could both turn out fine.
-One could turn out white and underdeveloped (probably cause the other one ate all the food like when I would eat all my twin sister’s food as a kid) while the other turns out fine.
-Both could possibly come out underdeveloped.
-Or if you’re lucky, you might end up with some good ol’ fashioned “Butt-Sacks” here’s a personal close up pic so you know what I mean.
Lol yeah let’s do it!
Surprisingly this is my first time getting Butt-Sacks, but I’ve gotten many twins over the years (two sprouts from 1 pod). The first time I grew twins out, one was male and I chopped it.
I was told a long time ago that with twins the runt would always be male, so after that I would just pull the runt before it got big. In my current outdoor grow, I separated the twins I got from a Purple Kush seed and grew them. Both came out female!! To think of all those times I got twins and cut one down lol (only like half a dozen). Still learning all the time, now I know it’s possible to get 2 female plants from 1 seed!!
That sounds awesome
Maybe if my seeds stay conjoined. I’ll have 2 sets from the same plant. So maybe if I breed them that plant could have a higher likelihood of making more But sakes… It would be cool…
Not sure tho if these will actually be joined later on when fully formed. Only time will tell.
Butt sacks lol that made me laugh Those are some pretty large bracts though. I noticed that when I harvested my Groves. Sometimes there is plenty of extra space for the seed in there. There is a chance that this is a trait of Orange Grove and it’s been expressed in my plants and I just didn’t notice. It’s easy to overlook when shucking through a pound of buds for seed. That would be cool if we found it could “give birth” to twins as a passable trait. Might be a special thing to take note of.
BTW, here’s a little seed harvesting trick I figured out years ago when I would buy brick weed as a teenager. Whenever I’d be hanging with some friends and breaking it up on either a book, CD, or DVD case to roll a jay, the seeds would roll off and spill all over the place… A pain in the ass. I later thought of that and did this when harvesting for seed…
Get a large book and prop it up at a 45 degree (or higher) angle. Make a little slope and break the bud up near the top of it… Most of the flower will stay on the book while the seeds roll off. Push the bud back and forth along the book and more seeds will roll out. You can then select all the primo ones to store. Try experimenting with the book angle to find that sweet spot for separating seed from flower.
Twin seeds would be a cool traite, I can’t see it being a fluk because I’ve found atleast 2 Buttsacks in the 1 bud of seeds…
Hahha Buttsacks ,)
Cool trick. when I harvested my last 2 plants of over 1K seeds, I legitimately plucked every last seed by hand by plucking each Calyxe pod off, put in a Mayo container lid, then afterwards removed all the outer pods from the seeds manually. Took forever.
Nothing like a big bowl of Butt-Sacks to start your day!
The best part of waking up, is Butt-Sacks in your cup.
Butt-Sack cereal and coffee coming soon!!
What’s that flying in the sky? Is it a Butt? Is it a Sack? No, it’s Butt-Sack man! Limited edition action figure now available, batteries not included.
I wanted to give up lol litterly 1001 seeds man. Plucked, hull chucked and counted individually.
I’ve done this twice now. Since then I only count 100 and weight the 100 seeds, then I divided the tottal seed weight. It’s accurate within 2 to 3 seeds.
The Purple Paranoia BX1 Male is starting to green up now (Yayyy) have him posted next to a nice branch of the Female Purple Paranoia BX1…
Hopefully I can get a few extra seeds of this strain.
I’m only needing the humidity while drying the buds, mine normally sits around 30/45% even 50% at best. So I figured add a humidifier & allow the AC Infinity controller to remove humidity as needed to keep everything drying between 62/64%
