Organic Adventures

I didn’t even waist  the leaves at all:
All leaves & 2 bottles of water :droplet: :ok_hand: smells super Green.

Pour into cups lined with sandwiche bags
( remember to LABEL these bags, cause I tell ya, when someone mistakes these for pesto, trust me. Your gonna get hunted down)

Dig a big O hole in the dirt Till you find worms 🪱

Pour in your Smoothy ( this was 1 cup leaves :leaves: & 1 cup of the Smoothy recipe a few posts above this mixed together) and cover that hole up.

Then I watered the hell outta this No Til Bin and sprayed Peppermint extract flavored water over everything (nasty bug deturent)

Now, we wait.

Was lookin through the Cubards and found some superfood that has expired, so I figure I’ll chuck this into my plants No Till, why not huh.

It’s all plant matter at some point and mother nature knows what do to with it.

I’ll sprinkle this across the dirt surface and water it in.

??? What is pennyroyal plants?

it’s a form of mint that is like natural pesticide - bug repellant…looking at the pics it seems like your plants are regular peppermint maybe?

Pennyroyal is frequently used as an insecticide and pest repellent. As a pest repellent, it is used to keep fleas away from household animals as well as on humans to ward off gnats and mosquitos.

Ohh than yes. I’m also growing Chocolate Mint, Orange Mint, Lemon Balm and Rosemary in the Cannabis tent  and yes besides harvesting it for cooking I’m using it as a pest repellent as well. You have a dam good eye.

chocolate mint, that must be it, I knew I recognized it. I saw some bees buzzing away in my garden the other day and it turns out they were covering the chocolate mint plants I put in last year, they put up colas of wispy purple flowers.

Pennyroyal would be cool as a cover crop to keep crawling insects of cannabis, I wonder how deep the roots go down - it might overgrow the pot, it’s pretty aggressive. I think I still have seeds of it.

Before I cut them back about a week ago.
Orange on left, lemon middle & chocolate right side.

Naww I’m just drying them out for hot chocolate, cooking and cold infused drinks for now.

that’s what I mean, sounds good. Last time I grew mint and tried to dry it something went wrong, it just turned brown and rotted, maybe I needed lower humidity or more air movement
