I have a plastic trash bin. All produce and plants get recycled. No bugs and no mold. Layer in bamboo leaves and thats my compound compost. I get about 10 -15 gallons of usable compost every 45 days.
Never wash or cook it, I just let it dry out to remove worms and other bugs. Seems to hold nutrients for a long period. Thats where I am watching to see how long 1 weed plant will take to use up the nutrients.
