Fantastic fade on those!
The UK Cheese looks like it’s really going to deliver again on the buddage this year!

All good things must come to an end.
“Autos: Round 2” = done and hanging as of yesterday.

ALL DAY it took to process these 8 plants. The weather has been up and down and lesson learned the last week they needed to finish-up was effected by the weather.
Each plant had either the start of PM or bud-rot but i’m grateful to report that there was minimal damage for all but one plant… that one I lost most of the main cola but I get why: it’s flowers are HEAVY AND DENSE. So it’s not one I’d do outdoors in my climate again but OH WOW AM I DOING IT INDOORS!
When I woke up this morning outside was a heavy fog which only lifted into a soft and steady rain… so I feel very lucky that I ended up cropping yesterday instead of today.
Here are 7 of the 8 plants in group shots; the 8th was the bud-rot plant I wanted to keep aside from the group. At this time I didn’t see what I eventually found in them after trimming away all the excess leaf.
The three in the back of the first shot:
Another thing to love about this grow is how each plant expressed differently so it’s an odd-ball bunch!

In a tradition shared with probably many but most definitely @Foreigner I did the cropping while questionable movies played in the background.
Yesterday’s flicks were:

For this round of cropping, I used my new AC Infinity Pruning Shears which worked very well unless the buds were highly resinous. With these the shears do eventually gum up and don’t move as smoothly. I put 99% iso rubbing alcohol in the sponge and let them sit in there in between each plant to mitigate the sticking.
Getting these on impulse was still not regretted, but I may end up using these more for live plant care where the resin is lower and then research another set with micro-tips for harvest.
Keeping 8x strains apart was easy when you have a fuck-tonne of photography trays kicking about for both photochemical and soil based fun!
(each strains tag on the tray shows what’s in the tray)
They are also stackable to fit in tight corners if you’re not an idiot and remember.
That tray on the side is the last to wash as it has the most issues; the different tray is an easy tell for a tired mind as i’ve been going strong for hours at this point (many bong hits as well…)
All in the corner I put the 2-hour liquid drum and bass mix you may be listening to right now and got to doin the dirty wet work. (yes it took me the entire mix to get these washed properly)
Bucket #1 (submerge/agitate for 1 min): 1 gallon 3% H202 + 3 Gallon water (20c)
Bucket #2 (submerge/agitate for 1 min): 4 gallon water (20c) + 1c Baking Soda + 1c Juice
Bucket #3 (submerge/agitate for 30 sec): Water (20c)
Bucket #4 (submerge/agitate for 30 sec): Water (20c)
Hanging in the dark, a fan below to circulate air upwards, and a fan off-camera to the side to move air through the sides.
No chances are being taken here as I’m going to over-dry these flowers and then lift the RH% back up to as close to 62% as possible in jars with Boveda packs during their curing phase.
WOW THAT WAS A LOT OF TYPING FOR ME THIS MORNING
All the best & thanks for checking in!
Holy trimming! Are your hands sore afterwards? I have a few tricks to prevent it but it still takes a lot.
Also you’re right about the weather it’s going to be shitty today.
@Foreigner lol.
Yes and no. I’m used to working long and hard so I mentally and physically am now built for this kind of slow burn. The wash is the worst where my hands start cramping from clutching the stems and all the temperature changes with the bucket water.
(edit: I also sneezed early in the post’s creation and it ended up posting WELL BEFORE any of the real content got inserted lol.)
Ha! I scrolled very slow and saw 2012 and went “yup that’s a piece of shit” and then I saw Armageddon and went “now you can never make fun of me for Battlefield Earth ever again.”
No. That’s still fair game. I’m just giving you fodder to throw at me!
Ok fine you win I laughed out loud.
Mighty fine work @Pigeonman those autos look great master grower at work over here
Finally caught up with this thread! Awesome work for the last two seasons. I completely agree with you about washing outdoor buds. Completely harmless and works wonders. As you, I discovered what comes off the buds one time when I had a bit of PM and washed my outdoor buds. I was shocked on what came off them.
Anyway, that last round of autos look insane!!! Will look forward to the smoke report if you make them.
Lots of hard work and it shows bud. Keep up the good work
wait is this a real movie? is that my man, the man ben affleck?
Thanks for posting your process! I have to go through the same thing, I dealt with only small amounts of quickly-removed bud rot (at least I hope). I’m curious how you arrived at the ratios you did? I’ve seen smaller ratios - like 1/2-1 pint H2O2 per 3-4 gallons, and 1/4c baking soda/lemon juice per 4-gallons water. What’s your experience with this, is this how you usually wash?
Looking fantastic!
BAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA! Yes. It’s “the summer blockbuster” from '98.
Research, Research and Research! I was working with my RDWC system and got PM from not changing my clothes after looking at the outdoor plants. I didn’t realize PM had started outdoors and I was very upset I brought it indoors… So OCD kicked in and i found that spraying 100ml of 3% h202 mixed with 900ml of water + potassium bicarbonate keeps the PM in check as it makes it really hard for it to grow.
My logic (other than readings) for the 1:3 ratio is overkill can’t hurt when it comes to things your really don’t want to smoke.
Yes. If outdoors always buckets 2-4; if PM or BR is even considered possible I add bucket #1.
Gotcha, thank you for explaining!
That monster is looking great
UPDATE!!!
Stacking and stacking this lass is! Here she is after spending a while inspecting and defoliating dried out or far-yellow leaves.
After a cropping the autos 2 weeks ago I worried about pathogens being around for PM so I sprayed her down with:
100ml of 3% H202 + 900ml tap water + 1x heaping teaspoon of Potassium Bicarbonate
This always seems to make the environment so harsh for PM to take hold that it’s my go-to treatment; and not a single sign of PM anywhere so it’s not just .

This plant is gonna make us some really good meds for 2023
Not medical but delicious; this seasons crop of Garden Huckleberries did really well for 2x smol nursery pots hiding in milk crates to keep them from falling over.
All the best folkz!
Nice plants my fine feathered friend.
