All right OG peoplesssss, its been a while!
Lot’s of stuff been going on in my life lately, mostly good but not gonna go into too much of that now.
Long storry short, I have moved to Spain part time. Trying to setup for retirement with the misses in a few years, she still work full time and takes care of the house and boat back home.
I have rented a place in Spain from a mate, who moved here 10 years ago. To continue his breeding, after he was busted back home. We will be doing some stuff together in the future, but for now I am just trying to grow some weed for myself and find some keeper moms.
My mate will try to keep my moms alive, while I am back home with the misses during the summer.
On to the Topic!
I am now growing in a Flippin tent, after my groffice build (that I still need to finish the veg cabinet) but I could not bring my cabinets with me to Spain.
I did bring some of the LED lights tho, so “cannabalised” one row of cabinets for LED strips.
Running on a low budget here, as I am trying to save money and buy some land.
The Spain trip is budget living and budget growing, in every way I can save a little I will try.
So my mate had a used 4x4x6ft tent, laying in the corner of his garage. Carbon filter, fan and some flex ducting. Dusted it all off and took it back to the apartment, got it put together, cleaned up and washed with some soapy water it was looking good. Okay it have a ton of pin holes in it, it’s made from very thin material and it was free.
Now I was looking at this flippin tent, and everyone who knows me would know. I don’t really like growtents that much, I prefer to build something sturdy and more light proof. So im lookin at this tall tent in my living room, 1.2 sq meter floor space, 2 meter in height … this must have be designed for growing rope under LED! Loooong tall skinny hemp plants … okay okay prolly designed for a 600W HID.
What if I didn’t need 2 meters grow hight, what if I just pretend I had designed the tent.
Then I would have not put a vent in the bottom of the tent, as it’s clearly makes a lot more sence to flip this flippin tent on it’s side.
There we go, now I have 1.2 meters hight, thats almost twice the hight of my cabinets and almost twice as much canopy space in the same tent.
I can work with this, I installed 250W of TCI LED strips running of a MW driver.
Got some seeds sprouted, then took a clone of each once they where big enough.
As they grew I added some aditional light, 3x XB70 HGL panels with some wire I found in a dumpster.
I used the same copper wire, to tie the strips to some old curting hanger profile. Another piece of trash that I cut with my angle grinder, turning it into a small drug operation.
460 Watt’s of light running, at this point I still have a bunch of males to pull.
All of the clones made it!
Some of them, just to get culled as soon the seedling showed balls.
And up to speed, they are today 28 days into 12/12
Tho this picture is from yesterday, this is the remaining females.
Quite a few males where culled, one Sour Mango Haze male have been kept. (he’s outside)
And one bloody hermi was found, in some G13 project seeds. Talked with my mate who have grown them as well, it’s a 3rd friends project and this was the first hermie found between us. Either way, it also got booted outside and the clone was culled.
