The Panama haze x Lebanese is a beast , I raised the lights all the way an she still hit the light so I supper cropped her @lefthandseeds the stem looks and feels sturdy so I pinched the branche and twist at the same time the branches feels hollow in side and I thought she would not recover but she’s strong and bounced back

I did loose a branch in the early stages of training they did seem week but much stronger now

Notes to self

Made an adjustment in the feeding schedule

Once plants establish themselves in the Octopots start 2/1/1 npk
Till week 1 of flip then change to a 1/1/1 npk
I feel this drop in N starts to single the ladies it’s flowering time they seem to respond to it

Last grow I did 1/1/1 till week 1 in flip then increased to 2/1/1 to boost growth

I just thought :thought_balloon: :thinking:I’d let you know about this magical liquid

I find that some plants have issues with micro nutrients this stuff really works

Hey @George wasn’t sure if ya was followed right but I think I know what you may have wanted don’t know to much about them but the theory is all based off a wicking styles type of growing , super soil can be made and used in the pot itself IIRCC with a simple organic mix and watered normally(Through the Rez or they may be used in a totally reversed type of situation where nutes are used in the Rez and a common soil up top what ever the case I believe them to be quite the multi use type system …Someone please correct me if I’m wrong but I’v researched them a bit and seem like a cool concept … only three would probably fit in my grow area though

Thanks for answering, I think my doubt was if the plants in Octopots are fed from the bottom what was the purpose of having organic soil or something like that icon_e_confused|nullxnull, always in the search of the perfect system … beer3|nullxnull

Lol I have a manifolded plant I took to eight also in my current grow unfortunately I snapped off a Main branch awhile back super cropping but the limb had some undergrowth still so I’ll have a split more than likely .

Ya like in my situation in my grow I have wicks dangling down into plain water sucking up h20 via capillary action same concept of the octo it was these types of watering system (Sips) also that got me going down the path of wicks All my nutrition is in the top of the system whereas the Octopots can run either way if that makes sense.

That’s why I don’t like to mix up solution concentrations and the sorts to much PIA for me! Lol:rofl::rofl:

Yea getting there! Lol my huckleberry must have an extra chromosome or lack of one! Your plant doesn’t look anything like mine! If she’s a girl ? I’ll call her “freak show “:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hi @Tinytuttle. And @George thanks for stopping by hope you enjoy the show

I’ve used organic soil mix and friends have used super soil and living soil mixes in the Octopots And it works well but always gave me issues

The pro mix is a substrate with no nutritional value so bottom feeding ( wicking ) seems the best

I feel the plants like being fead continuously , normally in veg the plant takes 5 days to empty the reservoir so I can make changes to the feeding schedule as needed

To me it’s the best of both worlds roots get the mycorrhizae from the pro mix , root travels towards the water and roots get big so big roots healthy plants

And I can walk away from it for a week and not worried
Easy as pie
