Sorry to be a downer today; but I was hoping you all could help me celebrate my little buddy Simon.
This was Simon a few weeks ago, feeling himself. He was always a bit of a grumpy guy. I don’t blame him. He was return to the pet store before we got him and seems to have maybe had a rough go. He was more misunderstood; he loved his brothers even though he’d fight with them. He was affectionate, even if he seemed the least holdable guinea pig.
But a couple days ago he stopped taking food, and then water, I could see he struggled relieving himself. Likely a bowel impaction. No vets could see him, so regretfully I just had to bury him.
Small animals come and go so quickly it’s hard to fell too much about them, but there’s always a special place in my heart for every little creature I own.

He’s cooler than me by far considering he’s a smol Cock(atiel) that’s as smart as a 4 year old and can be heard 1 km away but lives in my bedroom. (If i have a kid it could scream all day and i won’t be phased as this sweet fucker is SO LOUD WHEN HORNY.)
