@santero

I’m a gal, but thank you, and thanks to everyone for all the kind words this week.

Anyone who has lost a special friend, be it feline, canine or human, knows the pain inside is hard to handle and doesn’t go away very quickly or easily.

Especially after loving them for almost 20 years.

Thank you.

Sorry sis for your loss :disappointed:, I have already buried 3 German Dogue so I feel you, perhaps as mines don’t last so long (6-8 years) makes easier the mourning, that and looking for a new one since the very first moment it passed away. I know it’s not easy but think about someone else needing your care and love and filling that hole Candy left in your heart, just benefits for both cat|nullxnull, at least mines helped me to cheer up and recover all my routines lost that were a rememberance of my loss … :roll_eyes:

@George

If you loved them, if they bonded with you and felt connected with you, the number of years doesn’t matter. Only the love matters. And the big hole in the heart that they leave behind.

Momma - Greta -afraid to come up - intimidated by her mischievous daughter Taco, who is sitting at top of the stairs while Taco’s pretty sister, Rosie admires herself in the mirror….

Our dog will only climb the stairs on the right side, if anything is at the top on the right she won’t climb up because she thinks she can’t get past it. We even have to have the stair carpet runner that normally goes up the middle, more over on the right side so she can get both back paws on it to grip.

Sponge, our former long-haired dachsund was so long he had to go up the stairs diagonally. So he’d start at the right side and by the middle of a story he’d be on the left side and then continue up to the top aimed for the right side. lol.

Made for walking with him up stairs very interesting to say the least.

I know a lot of us like Pits so I wanted to drop this video I saw. It’s, obviously, not my dog but this is cool.

Some dogs get a bad rap. I don’t care too much for German shepherds. Especially a pit that is very loving. Those are so cool. All I want to do is love on you all the time. I had one years ago.

I agree, This boy is just a big 75lb Teddy-bear, if he ever hurts anything it is just because he is clumsy and heavy.

Here he is guarding my seedlings.
