We always have harsh winters, but it’s just too damn early for this shit! :-1:    Luckily, I think it’s going to warm up for a bit before the hard freeze. :crossed_fingers:

Weather got frost all over the buds too lol.

… and what’s the name of this Queen?

Hey man! This one is Wedding Crashers. Pretty sick of growing all the junkie boys strains, but this one isn’t half bad. Typical dispensary stuff. Bag appeal and that’s it. She does take pretty pictures though. :v:

doc d gear looks highly underrated

It is!! I think Doc is doing outstanding work! Everything I’ve grown from him has been excellent. I’m still kicking myself for not keeping a cut of his Love Affair. One of the most amazing smelling strains! :+1:

Thanks man! I just pushed the button, the plant did all the work lol.

Doc is one of those people I like to buy his gear just because of his persnality. Doesn’t hurt he has some great crosses. He does put out a lot of longer flowering strains, so make sure you’re ok with flowering times. He’s been active on this site, so definitely post up if you have any questions.

Many thanks! It is greenhouse grown. Not impossible, but pretty difficult to get stuff to finish straight up outdoors here. :v:

Ok, need coffee lol.

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! My favorite holiday.

Thought these photos were appropriate for the holiday. I’m waiting to hear back from the entomologist, but I believe these are Phorodon Cannabis - a newer aphid to North America. I’ve started formulating an ipm strategy.

Where did this little beast orginate? Awesome pics my friend.

Thanks Man! I’m not sure about origins, but they are born pregnant (like most aphids) and if you don’t stay on top of them, they will get out of hand quickly. Some of the hurdles of growing in greenhouses that are exposed to the outside. :slightly_frowning_face:

Side note, the red dots on the body are the eyes of the babies. :mask:

Well, that definitely makes that picture a bit more creepy knowing that for sure. Aphids suck for sure. We used to have some tulip popular trees in our front yard that were covered in aphids, hence any vehicle parked underneath were covered in aphid poo. It is nasty, sticky stuff.

Im not worried about you man. I know you will come up with a good plan. I hate that you have one more thing to deal with, but I have faith in you!

They were first identified in the late 1800’s not sure where but there appearance in North America was first seen in Colorado commercial hemp production and then quickly showed up in Oregon. I swear I had a few of these on a tray of clones from the California bay area.

So they are by no means a new occurence. Interesting how it showed up in hemp production first. I wonder why that is. It must have been nicer to see them as small and harmless, than that ugly thing! Thank you for the history lesson friend.

The entomologist confirmed today that they are indeed Phorodon Cannabis. They are not new in the world, but it is my understanding they are fairly new to North America.

I would highly recommend seeking a qualified entomologist to identify the specific species one might be dealing with. Treatment can be a little different depending on the species, your grow space, etc, etc.

Ice Cream Cake. They were trellised today, and hopefully will be flipped to flower pretty quick. Not my first pick, but beggars can’t be choosers. :see_no_evil:

Those are 100 gallon pots for reference.
