Hey @FattyRoots it’s not punk but I wanted to ask you if you listened to Rollerball? I’ve been listening to them for awhile now and never knew until recently they were Australian. They have a killer live album.

I’ve been pretty obsessed with this song (and the album it’s on) for like six months now:

It’s punk in spirit, if nothing else. Great album, y’all should check it out. It’s like a weird mix of Elliot Smith, the Butthole Surfers and Melvins, with maybe a little Eugene Chadbourne mixed in here and there, too. Maybe a little Cramps, too, I dunno.

The opening track totally makes me feel like Beavis and Butthead, all,”Yes! Rock!” haha. Tell me that intro doesn’t sound like Elliot Smith, though. And then straight Melvins. Pretty awesome.

I love Ty Segall.
I recently saw Fuzz play at Pappy and Harriets - 'twas really good. Ty was on Drums. Cool project.

This song came out last year, and it reminds me of so much of early LA New Wave/Punk. It’s just a great song, too

Yeah, I can hear that. Good track, for sure. And I dunno if this makes me an asshole or whatever, but I totally wanna fuck the chick in that video haha. I like how it’s kind of a riff on that old-ass D’Angelo video, too. I’m not sure if it’s intentional or not, but it’s pretty funny either way.

Love NOFX, have seen them several times. The Decline is one of my favorite albums/songs.

Dude, I was listening to that deangelo song on repeat yesterday for no reason other than it lodged itself in my brain for the day. Weird coincidence

Just saw him in KC and my buddies in LA play with him. Ty is the man.

Viagra boys have done it again. I didn’t care for their second record, but this one is looking like Hitsville:

The Offspring were great until they turned into Weird Al. They got a ton of shit just because they blew up quick and got radio play but their early stuff was great.

@FattyRoots not sure if you ever responded last time I asked but have you heard of Rollerball?

Agree 100%, early Offspring was good, latter stuff was comical.

My girl and I were discussing whether or not we should watch that haha. We probably will at some point, but “Sid and Nancy” will always be my go-to “Sex Pistols movie.”
