I’ve used many different brands over the years and have never bothered reading the back/paperwork, Are all of them suggesting such safety measures? They suggest more PPE than I’ve ever seen for something that seems so harmless. It’s from Cali so we’re all aware of the “cancer” sticker that they use on many products, is this just a thing to cover their ass if someone tried to sue them or should I do the “shirt over the nose” move just in case? haha
Stoned after thought… Remember in Lord of War when the guy mixed the gunpowder and cocaine? They called it brown/brown I think, so I say we make an OG version but we use worm castings and myko. I mean the best offence is a good defence, right?

Personally, any product that gets fine particles flying, I’d wear a mask, or wet the stuff before using
My 2.78 cents

@Mithridate I quit smoking cigs years ago but I will not give up my perlite and myko dust!
I agree with you but between the walnut/dogwood/blackcherry dust, forge smoke and welding fumes, the myko and perlite dust may be the cleanest thing that I inhale haha
I know it’s hard to tell with my dumbass comments but I was sincerely asking if someone knew some issues that I may had overlooked. They had it so that that paper was over the zip seal and taped+plastic wrapped so they really wanted me to see it haha

My solution is to stand upwind. Perlite dust is gross.

@Foreigner Sorry, I think I brought up perlite when I read flying particles, I was more interested in the myko safety precautions. They recommend that it even touching your skin was a poison control worthy call and also not letting it get near any water/food/storage and has special disposal recommendations.
All my stoned ass thought of was how many bags of this shit I’ve used bare hands on to dig into the pack then go on to eat lunch without washing my hands haha

Oh my bad. I carry on sometimes.
They sound pretty serious on the instructions.

You don’t want to be snorting that shit but unless you’re tossing clouds of it around I wouldn’t worry.
Most of these myco products come coated on a substrate like perlite or vermiculite. I’m using DynoMyco and loving it. It reminds me of the no-see-um windowpane acid I used to buy 1000 lots of in Vancouver back in the early 70s.
It’s a type of fungi and there’s wild spores of all sorts floating around all of us all the time. Mine has a warning not to inhale and seek med attn if breathing problems develop. Talcum powder can do that. I do take care when handling perlite and diatomaceous earth tho.

Mycotru is not registered as a pesticide. If it is registered as a pesticide with the EPA it would require one of three Signal Words on the label. **CAUTION, WARNING, DANGER ** appear on the front label of all registered pesticides.

How to Read a Pesticide Label
The extra information sheet comes from California’s regulations.
