I had someone told me one time they didn’t know they made underwear any different color, but white.
It could’ve been used.
Got the results back from my soil test, see the column labeled Cycle #8. Feeding the plants every 7-10 days really helped increase the nutrient density of the soil.
The soil pH is still higher than I want at 7.4, but with all the calcium inputs it’s hard to keep the pH down. In general most of my nutrition numbers went up. My phosphorous levels went up this round, I was feeding Rootwise Biophos and it seems to work as advertised. Sodium went up quite a bit, so I’m going to use CalPhos instead of fish bone meal for the phosphorous this round. The calcium levels look great, I wont need to add any additional gypsum this round. Both magnesium and potassium were both a bit low, which is convenient because I can use langbeinite which has both. Boron is higher than it has ever tested, but I am goin to push it even further, particularly with the high level of calcium I am using. I have been trying to get my Fe:Mn ratio closer to 1, but keep running into application limits with the manganese. Since I’m not going to plant in these for a while, I’m ignoring the application limits and using a corrective dose of manganese sulfate. I will be rounding out the trace elements with some cobalt, molybdenum, and zinc sulfates. Finally, the nitrate level increased significantly. I will continue top dressing with nitrogen and feeding amino acids.

What exactly are you using for Ca inputs that are raising the pH over 7? Dolomite and gypsum shouldn’t do that, should they?
Oyster shell flour, and crustacean meal when the soil was first made. I also over applied potassium silicate the first couple of runs.
I admire you organic guys for sticking with it, I wimped out and went to the salty side… with a little gypsum, lol!
Hey you setup that Lions Mane kit yet, any good? I want to grow Lions Mane for my fam asap.
Pre-trimmed the Zak Haze S1 plants in preparation for harvest. Thinking they will be done around day 70-75F.
Divyder autos are doing well. I top dressed each pot with 1/2 teaspoon of craft blend and 1/4 teaspoon of bokashi. Then I added two tablespoons of rice hulls as a mulch. Finally I watered them in.
Do they need humidity to grow? Those look awesome. I’ve only used their grain bags and boomrbags.
Here in the high desert, they suggest using a humidity dome. I spray it twice a day.
Some hash rosin I’ve been dabbing on.
Zak Haze S1 got the chop at day 70F. I’ll get a final weight I’m 7-10 days once they dry.
The buds look about ready to me. No shortage of frost on these. One plant had quite a few foxtails.
Out with the old, in with the new. This should answer the question of if I labeled these correctly. The front left plant is #1 and shpuld be male. If tajtbis the case, then I don’t have a clone of #5, but I will be able to make F2s.
I love the solo cup grows. I’ve gotten some crazy bud from just solo cups. It’s awesome to see them thrive like that. I just dropped some of the APxSBR’s. I enjoyed growing your fam beans. I had to daisy chain my small tents to my main tent to dump the humidity.
I had that one massive GST cross that was the size of a football mold on me. Some of them get a little too close to the splitters and I’m getting foxtailing. The smoke is still top notch. Everything is looking great. Can’t wait to see the Dividers in action. Always a pleasure. Be safe out there.
I decided to harvest the Lion’s Mane mushroom tonight. I sliced them and pan fried them in butter and olive oil.
I had them with grilled steak “surf” and turf style. They were delicious. They definitely had a shellfish texture. The taste was pretty neutral with some umami. They soaked up a lot of the oil, it would have been better with more butter and no oil.
very nice @ReikoX -I have been getting really into mushrooms recently, foraging oysters and turkey tail, and after seeing your bash at Lions Mane I decided to put mine in to fruiting just now…steak and lions mane…dont mind if I do
Pretty sure this clone labeled DD 1 is male. That means I labeled the clones correctly, just culled the wrong plant. When life gives you lemons, make F2s.
What do you use for potassium silicate? Do you make your own or buy it powder concentrate? I’ve just recently started reading about silica and how hard it is for plants to uptake unless in certain form.
I was using Agsil 16H powdered silicate. I still use it in foliar applications.
yes indeed.
