…and it stayed like this for a while, even making sure my VPD and DLI were optimal. It started to die. I wasn’t over or under-watering it. It was locking out nutrients somehow still after 2 weeks, with no roots visibly poking through the coco plug yet, so I transplanted it to a 1L pot, and added some heat to incubate the roots a bit. I skipped taking pictures for week 2, with the first set of leaves completely brown.
A few days after transplanting, the plant decided to top itself, since the next node would not grow out and withered away. But, the 2 lateral stems are now growing fairly good. This plant should look pretty funky later in life if it makes it. Here’s week 3:
Ringos’ Gift, sounds like a fun run.
I’ve always use a non-fertilized medium, or a starter mix, that has zero food in it, until I see 4-6 sets of leaf points popping up, before I give them food.
Maybe fertilizers topped her??
She is coming around it looks like.
Best of luck in your runs!!
Today is the last day before it gets dusted with pollen. The donor is Charcuterie from Cannarado Genetics, which is Grape Pie BX x Cheesy D (UK Cheese x Chemdawg).
Okay, I chopped this one as its popcorn bud seeds are ripe. Damn, I wasn’t expecting so much frost on this. I’ve grown a lot of CBD varieties, and this is up there for resin production.
Wow. I’ve grown many CBD strains as well and never seen much frost at all. Although one strain was so juicy and sticky buds would stick to the nitrile gloves after trimming.
Getting things ready for my next grow over here. I never thought I’d ever say this, but I’m going back to my roots for the next grow, just to mix things up. When I first started indoor some years ago, I grew with frequently fertigated coconut coir, hydroponic style with synthetic nutrients. Well, that’s what I’m going to do. Mostly out of boredom, and to get rid of all these bottled nutrients I’ve had laying around for years. I’m a soil guy. I care about the environment. But… why not? New diary/diaries coming soon.
