@anon81143130 I’m having a hard time knowing i can’t see any amber in the trichomes but don’t have anything ti magnify them besides my cellphone camera. Just gave them a small feed tonight, ph water from here on.
Thanks I been looking at those on Amazon, i think I’m gonna order one today , it’s saying it would be delivered before the end of the week which is pretty good with tomorrow being a holiday.
Works really well…just don’t push on the lens when trying to clean them off or they will pop out and a real pain to get back together. For cleaning just wet a qtip with rubbing alcohol.
Just placed my order, couldn’t find the exact one but got this one coming Thursday for $10.99 delivered to my door.
Loupe came in the mail today and i dunno kinda seems like junk to me despite the great reviews , gives me some bad anxiety trying to hold the darn thing still… Anyway this is the best i could do for pics through it, still can’t see if they’re close to done or not.
Seems they’re still quite clear but maybe I’m not seeing it right due to my lack of experience.
If you look though the smaller lens it will give you the most zoom. You have to get it super close almost touching the buds. Your face will be all up in her goodies
From this pic I see a couple amber and I’d guess about 30% cloudy. I’d check it again in a week but your definitely getting close. They will really start swelling up now. I would guess about 10 days from now
You did well for your first time taking photos through a hand lens, you got 4 useable shots - good shoot’n Tex.
These loops take a bit of practice.
From what I can see…You are into the harvest window - now it is up to how you want the finished stone to hit. Clear trippy high = 3~4 days. Body melting = check in a week.
For the loupe:
Just work with the lowest magnification to start.
I do it two ways:
If I’m inspecting a plucked leaf, the lens is close to my eye and I move the leaf only for focus.
Looking at a bud on a plant (lets say 18" away) I’ll have the lens close to the bud and range in and out for focus.
If you wear glasses - take them off, the lens will compensate (will not correct for heavy astigmatism)
Use the high mag only when you have to as it is harder to work.
You normally get some color distortion around the outside ring of the image, just use the center area.
Cheers

@Gpaw excellent advice i really appreciate it gonna play with the loupe some more. Definitely gonna give it another week. They got PH’d water only last night and will from then till finish.
Looking good rob
Today is day 72 of flowering for these girls and i have decided i am cutting tomorrow after work.
Here is the 1st gorilla glue plant
Here is a bud shot of her through the loupe .
Here is the 2nd gorilla glue plant
And here is a budshot of her through the loupe, look at those trichomes.
And here is the Northern lights
And here is a budshot of her through the loupe
Picture perfect!
Well done.
Cheers

Finally past the finish line! Day 73 and the girls are hanging.
Temps and humidity is in a range that seems ok based off of some research.
Here is the aftermath! A co worker may be taking them to re-veg and grow out again, i will know forsure tomorrow, would be kinda cool to see how they look after a 2nd round. Also if he doesn’t than those little tiny buds and leaf will go into the trim pile.
After this harvest is dry i will update with how many grams per plant and after it’s cured i will also give a smoke review on them.
Here is a closer view, unfortunately could only fit it in 2 pictures! Wasn’t to bad took 2.5hrs and that was non stop, i ate a brownie and put some music on and snipped away.
And also got a couple bags that are a mixture of popcorn buds and sugar leaves and a few small fan leaves, will likely get made into butter into some sort of delicious baked treat that’ll bake me
Better take that out of the those bags and let it really dry or its going to be a bag of mold In a day. Well done rob👌
@anon81143130 i actually put them right into the freezer right after. And thank you! I appreciate everyone’s help and suggestions along the way, I’ve definitely learned alot … 2nd grow will be starting up very soon.
I just spread my trimmings out on a piece of cardboard after they are dry in about 2 or 3 days I put them in bags in the freezer
My 1st grow was absolutely terrible yours looked pretty solid for a first grow. Awesome hobby
