Ok so i been thinking rather than making a new thread every grow I’m just gonna keep going here, hopefully someone can change the name to Rob’s continuous grow or something like that that sounds good, and also any random chitchat is welcome as well, if the time is right for that conversation i believe it should happen i get stoned and go off topic constantly especially in real life conversations and than forget what i was even talking about and than just pause completely and start saying “so yeah” so i completely understand hahaha but yeah gonna keep posting future grows and hope to have some good chats and learn some more along the way.
Tonight i decided no point in wasting anymore time and put some seeds in wet papertowel , was looking for a dark warm humid spot to put them and having trouble finding a spot my whole house is cooled with AC by a ducted heat pump, top of my fridge oddly not hot, top of my hot water tank also not hot, than i discovered accidentally my storage shed that has a metal roof is perfect conditions this time of year is perfect conditions for popping seeds.
Last grow i put 4 seeds of 2 different strains and 3 popped and all 3 were female, this time i am gonna try my luck again and put 4 seeds 2 are a strain called cheese and the other 2 are a strain called critical kush.
And rather than a tote this time i bought some domes with a plate they go over to do my small seedlings when they finally poke through the soil, i have a cheap costco blurple LED that I’m pretty sure is only 20-25 actual watts at most but it works well for seedlings and clones, or my other option is 2-32 watt florescent tube lights that sit above my water heatet which the dome fits on, the Costco cheapo is dual spectrum the tube lights are 3000k .
And also i am open to any suggestions and advice, and i really do appreciate everything i gain by being part of this forum/community. I also just ordered the 2nd light i was convincing myself i should get for this 2nd grow. Also i meant to say up there i am also planning to order a heating pad for seeds because i feel its not often it will be this exact time of year will ideal conditions .

Also another thing i could use some help with, i bought what i plan to use as my soil mix but want some opinions. This is what i have
I am for sure using the vpw30 and most likely gonna add some more perlite, but i am unsure on the sheep manure, should I use a small amount? Or no? Also will it cause bugs and pests in my indoor grow? Just looking for suggestions either way it was cheap and won’t go to waste.

I’ve used the vpw30 for my outdoor plants last summer with nothing added to the mix except feedings of General hydroponics nutrients, and i had no issues besides thrips which i was able to get rid of quickly and easily.
I was looking at this product last week. It looked like a ProMix substitute but as you found, little info and the price ain’t cheap (locally).
Sheep manure/compost is OK. (pitch the lumber)
I like to structure the soil in my pots… Plain Jane vanilla base soil around the seedling/clone and hotter the lower you go. (OK, maybe that’s too cryptic)
As an example, I’d do a 50/50 of base soil and sheep M/C in the bottom 1 inch of a pot, dust that off with a Tblspoon of blood meal. This gets cooked in and aged a little
Check your local sources for either Mosquito Dunk or Bits (same active ingredient) Grind up 2~4 grams and top dress that in to the top layer of each pot…
Every week or 2 hit them again with 2gm in their water - no fungus gnats…RIP

The price of the vpw30 was actually cheaper than the promix, i paid $25.99 i believe it was and promix was $34.99 for comparable sized bales, the whole reason I used this last year the promix was out of stock, same thing this year been seeing promix everywhere till i actually needed/wanted some and everyone was sold out, I’ll eventually try it.

I just finished growing some uk cheese. Smells very strong like skunk, taste fruity on inhale and definitely cheese on exhale. Kinda weird but I like it.

I’ve only tried cheese once and its been about a year i don’t remember much about it but these seeds came out of it.
So far still only 2 of 4 seeds sprouted. Both went into the dirt this evening.
Looking at the harvest i have drying and grabbed a few tiny nugs that were dry enough to smoke and trying it out now as i sit on my front deck making this post.

And it’s not to bad can’t wait till it’s cured abit, still good high can really feel it in my head and eyes and everything feels really bright and my entire body feels really tingly almost like when your hair stands up but almost in a orgasmic sort of way, also has me very giggly for example i caught myself giggling and started giggling more over the thought that i was giggling, i love the satisfying feeling thinking this was a seed February 12th the day i put it in a wet paper towel in a ziplock bag and now here i am today July 14th totally stoned because of this seed! Anyway that’s enough rambling.

A little update, everything was dry and weighed and put into jars this evening .
Numbers weren’t great but i gained alot of experience and that’s worth more right now, i feel confident this next grow will be better and they will improve with time.
I got 15 grams per gorilla glue plant so roughly 1oz and the northern lights was 16 grams, still 1.5 oz i won’t have to buy.
Gonna enjoy another joint of it than i really gotta cure it for a bit before I enjoy it again.

The knowledge is worth taking the hit in yield. Just apply what you learned and get a better yield this next one…I know that’s what I’m hoping for

Haha unfortunately it’s only about 1.5 oz, got 15 grams per gorilla glue plant and 16 grams of northern lights. If i stop smoking and vape it , it would go further but i just enjoy smoking to much.

@Foreigner oh i am not complaining at all i learned alot between being here and that grow, i will take all the experience over bud quantity, that will come with time.
@Blowgank420 yes i will get better pics once the tent is fired up for these next one’s, my basement is dark and i didn’t organize very well for this 1st grow. I’m planning on putting a light socket in tent for some non purple pics, I’ve seen how many people hate it just from all the reading I’ve done on here. Also any advice or criticism I will happily take
