Hello Scroger’s lol
Ok my first scrog grow will be coming soon as they are only 4 weeks out of the soil, I have just a question if you can ring in please with your help, advice, grab a seat and come along…
QUESTION] why are the bottom squares in a 4 x 4 mesh net 40 squares and top or second net has 60 squares??
when i put the plants that are in 5 gallon buckets 12 in total under the 40 square net , do I put the entire plant in one square or each main branch in each square??
any you tube vids or any help would greatly be appreciated … all you young guns listen to me an old timer 60 , you can never has a dumb question but you can always make bigger mistakes if you don’t ask… no question is a dumb question…

The only dumb question is the one you don’t ask

That being said, I’ve never scrogd b4. But I imagine the square count isn’t as important as just making sure your re-tucking your new growth constantly to maintain a good spread.
Smaller squares I think would be at the bottom and larger ones at the top…top net is just to support heavy branches and colas. Anyone correct me if I’m wrong

Also are you saying 12 plants total? All in 5gal buckets?
Fill the bottom net in veg until it’s about 80% full by tucking the branching back under the net as it grows through it then once that’s filled flip to flower and use the 2nd net in the same way but take more care on keeping the height of the canopy and spacing as equal as you can while they stretch. Once the stretch period is over just let them go.

I haven’t done it, but I have seen in plenty of pictures one mistake people make a lot is to not have the net tight enough. The plant ends up pushing the net up so its not even.
I imagine people might use more holes up top because that’s where your deciding where each bud will grow, so you’d have more control to line them up tighter.
Your post is a little confusing. It sounds like you plan to run 12 5gallon buckets in a 4ftX4ft but the buckets wouldn’t even fit. Did you mean one 4x4 net per plant?
