People seem to forget the base of heat and pressure. And often overlook decent controllers and heaters that’s the important bit. For off the shelf dabpress seem ok . I tend to build control boxes and use pre made plates as I’ve no engineering tools. I also tend to use H frame hydraulic presses over A frame etc , as they saying goes you get what you pay for at the end …
People also forget to calculate the actual cylinder ram when working out pressure over the area of plates …

I’m sure you ment parchment paper. Wax paper will melt wax into your rosin

Yeah baking paper is what you should use. That is different though to wax paper. Baking paper is also called Parchment paper

I’ve been looking at some presses for the past week and I’m really thinking of getting one. Im mainly looking for something small and portable. I was sold on the nugsmasher mini, I read lots of reviews and everyone seems to love them. Small 2 ton press that can do 3.5g-5g max.

Then I found the crd nano press which is a small 4 ton press and can press up to 14g. You can also call them and get it customized which is badass. Im talking color, drip tech, plate sizes, etc. Basically the works.

Both companies offer a lifetime warranty. Now all I have to do is think about which one I want for a couple weeks. I know if I go with the nugsmasher mini eventually im going to want to press more than what it can handle. Im pretty sure i know what im going to get :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:.

Anyone have experience with either of these presses??

Nope, but once you said they will customize and it was bigger, I knew which you would chose!!

you consider the Dabpress? The 3x5 is bigger and cheaper than that nano but it needs a hand pump so probably around the same price only negative is the 1 year warranty, i’m waiting to finish up my press I got my plates from DP haven’t used them yet but i’ve heard a lot of good reviews really excited

I was looking at the dabpress I think they have the best prices hands down and have lots of good reviews on multiple sites. Its just they look a lot bigger than the two I’m looking at. Im looking for something small thats easy to put away or take somewhere else. The life time warranties are a huge plus.

Post up pics and a video if possible lol. I can’t wait either! @WHF

I don’t know how small you want to go, but the 4-ton Dabpress isn’t that big.

One gallon pitcher and trimming scissors included for size.

It didn’t break the bank, worked right out of the box, and has had zero issues since. I’m a satisfied customer.

From someone who build there own presses , I have found the Dabpress to be the best off the shelf kits available . Although the pid controllers are cheap but they do the job. If dab press was around several years ago I would prob not have built my own or friends presses.

Yea I was originally going to go with a dabpress but they are sold out and the ones they do have don’t come with a pump which looks to be another $100+ putting it around the same price with a 1 year warranty as the nugsmasher mini and crd nano which have lifetime warranties.

And its bigger than these lol

Crd nano

Nugsmasher mini

How long ago did you get it @Grohio? Everywhere I looked they were sold out which is one of the reasons I’m looking at the other two.
