Oh damn. That sucks. Its a good press if you can come across one.

Wouldn’t say $100+ by far, you can get bottle jacks cheap. Not that I’d endorse Harbor Freight, but you can get damn near anything cheap there.

The dabpress brand comes with a bottle jack. Looks to be a harbour freight with a dabpress label on it n

It’s all made in the same factory, nothing wrong with them. Love HF for cheap and simple.

The 4 ton press is sold out. I was looking at the 10 ton press which doesn’t have a bottle jack you have to buy one. So I looked at bottle jacks and hydraulic hand pumps don’t know jack(:smirk:) about either maybe its something I’ll look into when I get a chance.

Thats dumb as fuck. Wonder why the 4 ton comes with it and the 10 ton does not.

At some point it gets expensive to ship them, they get heavy. I’d pick one up local myself.

But as far as know jack(s); pushing is pushing right? Just make sure it fits. The electronics are the complicated part. And those aren’t even super complex relatively speaking.

My thoughts exactly @Grohio

I have a harbor freight near me and can get an H frame and 20 ton bottle jack for under 150. What is a good, inexpensive caged plate with controls? Or better yet an inexpensive pre-made unit that i can squish flower with? I broke my first hair straightener in like 5 uses, so I think in the long run an actual press is going to be more cost effective lol. I’m only going to be using it for me, so I don’t need a big professional unit, just hobbiest level.

All you need is caged plates and a hydraulic press. You just slap the caged plates in your press and let it rip. It’s not cheap.

I like the one I ended up buying, but I can’t remember the name right now haha. Seriously, I’m sitting here trying my best to think of the name, but it’s escaping me. I probably mentioned it at some point in this thread, though. I just harvested again, so I’ll be pressing in the next couple days. When I get the press out of the box again, I’ll make a point of seeing who the manufacturer is, reading the label etc. It’s good, though.

So many choices making your own or ordering online . Seems price is close to the same on the smaller pieces . Are the 350 to 400 presses online not worth it ?

Make sure to use your 20% discount if you do purchase from HF.

Wait what? Beyond like the flyer coupons?

Yep, if sign up for their newsletter, they send you a 20% discount email quarterly.

I have a dabpress brand that i paid right around 400 bucks for its totally worth it. Building it yourself using harbour freight parts and their plates would not be much cheaper.

That was my assumption from reading this thread .

Another satisfied Dabpress owner here. I bought a 4 ton - would have bought the 6 but it was sold out - and it has worked solidly without issue.
