Thanks. I know about the computer screen. I think that’s why my eyes are so bad. Not just from lights. Shop lights are bad for your eyes. Thanks I got to do something a little different. Got a young one .
Hey @CoyoteCody. I don’t know much about 3D printing, but would it be possible to print one of these?
I was designed as an tray to make ice cubes for bottled water. It’s 10 1/2" long, 3 5/8" tall, and 3 3/4" wide. The top is hard plastic, the bottom is flexible, and you just peel off to get the cubes out.
I used it as a cloner until I figured out how to use a aero-cloner. Lately I’ve been using it to germinate seeds. I drilled 3 small holes in each “cap”, and I find it real easy to control the moisture content with it. It’s easy to check for roots, you just peel the bottom back every few days and look. When you see roots coming through the bottom of the tube, you’re good.
The other thing I really like about it is the plunger from a 20cc horse syringe fits inside the tubes perfectly. That allows me to push the plant out of the tube like a plug, without damaging the roots.
Well, after 10+ years of being peeled off those tubes, the bottom is finally falling apart. I’ve scoured the net looking for one, and I can’t find one anywhere, so it looks like getting one printed is gonna be my only option.
So, what do you think? Is this something that you could do? I’d box up the one I have and send it to you if need be. I don’t know what something like that costs, but I’d like to have at least 2 of them. I suppose if it is doable, I could get an extra bottom and have 3.
Anyway, let me know what you think.
I have seen people talk about that I would like to know if that works I was wondering if you could use the flower ones like when you go to the store and buy a flower the little container that is in
What do you do to keep it from flipping over and the stress time that’s the only thing that concerns me
Reminds me of the Deepots Clackamass Coots suggested for cloning at scale.
Those do look very similar. Hmmm…
Let me get some silicone filament and see how it prints, I got all the upgrades to be able to print flexible materials but I have not tried yet, and then we can go from there?
@CoyoteCody well I ordered the portable rosin press from ebay , what all else do u need to purchase for this adventure so ita ready to be used ?
Glad I found this thread… Bookmarked for future reading
Says ready to use so I’m assuming I just need the wax paper ?
I know his work horse so I can sometimes get amazing prices.
Never hurts to ask for anyone
Its 420life.com an 710life.com
I use silicone baking mats to press with, but don’t leave it on there for too long, as the terps are a natural solvent and can eat away at the silicone. I also like to use micron bags to get a cleaner press, but parchment paper and a nice dense bud will press just fine without the micron bags, just a little darker.
Don’t be using wax paper!
Correct, you want parchment paper. Wax paper will melt paraffin wax in your rosin. I like the heavy duty stuff myself.

And some bags make it helpful. I like the 160 micron for flower and 25 micron for hash. Pick a size that best matches your plates.
What do you guys do with the flower after you press it ?
I make RSO for eddibles from the leftovers.
@CoyoteCody did you design those yourself or use thingiverse or another source?
The jar bongs i designed myself, I do use yeggi and thingiverse a lot though
