Whoa. That thing looks pretty cool haha! I bought the thing that @schmarmpit suggested last night, along with one replacement bulb (I’m gonna just try to be really, really careful). But I have a feeling I’ll be buying that Peak sooner rather than later.

Would the thing in the middle of your Peak be considered “honeycomb” or whatever? What’s the deal with the honeycomb? And “salt shaker”? I’ve seen both of those mentioned as features on various rigs and I have no clue what the advantage is to owning a rig that has “honeycomb” or “salt shaker” (or both) listed as features.

Those refer to patterns that difuse the smoke. A honeycomb looks just like that. Not sure I know what a salt shaker is, or what you would call the diffusion pattern mine has.

One minor point to consider is shipping.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to wait. That Yocan Mini Dab thing looks like it’ll be more than sufficient, even though I really would prefer to be smoking through glass. I’m certain, though, that I’ll be buying the Peak pretty soon. I highly doubt I’ll remember the Black Friday sale, though haha!

Yeah, I thought I was buying my press locally from Harbor Freight, considering that there’s three of them within like an eight mile radius of me. For some reason, though, the press is being shipped from fucking South Carolina. It’s finally supposed to arrive tonight, I’m stoked.

How does it work if you say say, a 1 gram in the container… Can you just do individual hits cleanly, or does it leave a residue like in a quartz banger that requires a Qtip?
Can you take a hit, put the cap back on your container o’ dabs and not affect the rest of the dab material?

It would be nice if you could do just a quick review on the press and the pipe please. I like my dab rig, but that pen looks sweet!

in the service in Germany we had hash everyday by doing this take a playing card, poke a pin [nail] thru the center, place a dab on the head, light it and cover with a small water glass

It definitely darkens my dabs on the top layer where it was being vaped. Some strains more than others. Even still, so quick and easy I don’t mind the result. Still good at the end. But I use 5ml glass jars. Not sure if want to hit the bottom of a silicon container.

When I use my Huni Badger I put a dab on my tool, then hit off of that. It also helps to not take too big a dab.

Oh, yeah, for sure I’m gonna post the results when I do my first press. Unfortunately, it’s now looking like my press won’t be here until Monday. Super-annoying. And it’s being Fed Exed, too! So I don’t wanna hear any post office comments haha.

Damn! Where were you two weeks ago? Haha. With shipping, I think mine ended up costing around $350. Took foreverrrrrr to get here, too, I just got it this morning. Well, I got the frame this morning. The jack came two days ago.
All this talk about how the USPS sucks is BS. My press was shipped from South Carolina via FedEx and took as long to get here as the seeds I’ve been ordering from Attitude, which ships from Ireland. Bigger and heavier, sure, but still… Plus, FedEx said it’d be here last Friday, didn’t show, then it said Monday. Got the jack on Monday and was like,”Uh, okay, where’s the rest?” Their website it’d be here by Monday night, didn’t show, checked their site on Tuesday morning and it said it didn’t know when the rest would be here. Finally, last night, it updated in the system.
If they privatize the mail, we’re fucked.

Fedex is the worst. If you send a package or someone sends you a package via fedex, and it shows up in the city days before the “Scheduled Delivery Day”, they will literally let it sit there until the designated day and THEN deliver it. UPS and USPS will deliver the package as soon as they can. I won’t use fedex unless I have to.

Yeah, that’s irritating, but at least it shows up on the scheduled date? I guess? This press thing was super-fucking-annoying. It was actually supposed to be here last Thursday initially, but in the interest of brevity, I didn’t mention that before haha. So yeah, it was Thursday, then Friday, then Monday, and finally showed today. Also forgot to mention that there are some pretty big holes and tears all over the box. It’s way too hot for me to get out there and go through everything, but I’m gonna open it first thing tomorrow morning and start putting it together. I’m genuinely worried that there’s gonna be parts missing. I mean, big-ass holes in the box. What. The. Fuck?

Are you sure the delivery guy wasn’t Jim Carrey? 
That sucks man. Hopefully it’s all good though and everything’s there. There’s not much to be missing out of a press box.
