The same concept is used in breeding triploid rainbow trout .

Oooo id like some of that bet it tastes fruity

So can anyone point me in the right direction to make seeds and give them back to the OG community without crossing any lines in the hope they pass them on also and everybody grow them and not hoard them?

From Reading this thread I would say either make a hybrid cross, preserve a landrace or heirloom strain. Reproduce a discontinued strain thats no longer for sale or make f2 of a strain with breeders permission if for sale , if freely its an f2 freely shared its up to you from what I gather

Its about being respectful of the breeders who have spent all the time and effort into working the strain and being ethical with what you are doing . It would be wrong to steal someone else’s hard work.

Yo yo, for future reference, it’s easier to read your posts if you edit the extra information into your previous comment. Replying to yourself repeatedly makes it harder to follow your train of thought.

There’s really only three big things to avoid in my book;

  1. If the person you got the seeds from explicitly asks you not to compete with them, before they’ll give you the seeds, and you agree to their terms. Longevity is the name of the game, and your word is everything.
  2. If you received the seeds as a tester, it’s super uncool to compete with the person who passed you the seeds.
  3. If you have ANY reason to believe the seeds aren’t what they’re being passed off as. It’s easy to not look a gift horse in the mouth, but if the horse is a thoroughbred it will stand on its’ own merit. It doesn’t need a fantastical backstory.

Just find something you like, and run with it. And be ruthless in your selections.
