Did you know you don’t really sink in quicksand? That said, it still must be scary as shit!

I grew up watching Tarzan. Ppl were always getting killed in quicksand. I thought it’d be a big problem as an adult.

I’ve been caught in quick sand , and shocked by lightning. The quick sand was in a slack water area of the river with about 2ft of water over it. I definitely sunk in far enough to be in fear of drowning in 2ft of water. My buddy brought the boat over and I got out using it for buoyancy and he was gassing the motor to pull me out.

I think this borders on science. Even if it’s not, this guy is an amazing photographer! There’s what I think is an even more amazing photo at the link in the story.

My brother was in some in a bayou near our house. My mom had to use a rope to pull him out.

So cool. Many years ago I did neuropsych evaluations. The human brain is amazingly complex and adaptive

Ok lets really push the boundaries of wonder, not claiming fake, not claiming not faked, for me, just something to Ohhh and Ahhhh over, and maybe kick the brain out it’s daily funk.
I found some videos of Structures On The Moon, maybe 4-5 years ago. Was super interesting to me, as I got bite by the space bug in the early 60’s.
Today, I watched this one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBPn-q3f40Y
just listed as Stunning new 4 K Mars footage.
Now I hate the sort of pong gaming movements of the video myself. BUT, to say I was not surprised by what I saw is an understatement. So I get the feeling, I should start stopping the video as it pongs away from the structures, or any time it pongs away, I stop, back up a few seconds restart and then stop it, quickly and study the whole picture.
That is when, I see other very hazy digital block outs, but it seems to show, ground features, that could be shaped by activity, and not weathered, maybe some steps, and some very round areas of what maybe dirt around them.
IDK, but it appears like maybe there are structures…but maybe not either…

That’s very interesting! The moon never stops creating a sense of wonder in me.

I am more traditional regarding my view of the moon. I don’t rule out alien stuff, I just need evidence. I can tell you do to.

From the fringe perspective some ppl think the moon is hollow. The guy below makes the best argument.

Hollow moon! HA! How about an inside out world! (We visited years ago. It was so crazy!)
