really ime, the male’s should be dropping pollen by ~20 days into flower, can probably cut some stems off at ~2weeks and stick em in a vase to collect the pollen over the following week. No need to keep the plant alive unless you want to. If you can’t no worries bro, but if you can that’d be super helpful. I can flower a NL5HSS clone asap to hit with it.

I keep thinking if someone goes through enough S1 seeds, they could find a male of a cut only strain to back cross with to make regular seeds that are pure “X” strain. But are those males a result of any hermi tendencies the pollen donor had being expressed?

Wait. Are these feminized seeds @Sebring? If so, that is not a male, biologically speaking. There is no Y chromosome for the female to give. It is simply expressing as a male in flower. In theory, the seeds from it should also be female, biologically speaking.

Yep, Strain vs pheno hunting. Though I don’t have a lot of room, and I like having variety, once I get past these test seeds. so if I’m going for 9 females, and I want 2-3 strains going, I may only pop 5 seeds of a strain or two at a time, hoping for 3 females. Then fill the gaps with clones from previous batches.
Wait, if I pop 10 of a single strain at a time, likely I’ll still have plenty of males to pull and then just fill with any variety of clones, so pheno hunting while still having some variety… or just get more tents

I can appreciate your situation and your limited space.
I went from big to miniature in a matter of just a couple months and yes I miss the bigger menus.
It really sucks when 1 doesn’t turn out and its the only one or one of just a few.
I put 8-2gal pots in a 8sf area and pull an elbow, religiously on a perpetual
