Seed Testers Wanted

There are 40 year growers here, man. If OG wanted to commercialize its knowledge, your company would be gone in two seconds flat.

This is exactly what I’ve been thinking…this is an bot account right? No way this is a real person, certainly not one who grows and smokes weed???

Sorry.I’m not yelling at you, man—I didn’t even use CAPS. Above these latest posts, you can see that the Kush seeds offered are landraces from Afghanistan and Pakistan. However, we have other breeders on our website who offer different things. Currently, we are sending these Kush seeds to testers. Previous testers received different strains or cultivars.

The cultural differences are going to be hard. Not being transparent, taking pictures from other seed sites, not your own, and using them—this will not work in the American market. Just be honest and transparent. Say we are selling seeds from local farmers and other breeders’ work. These local farms don’t have detailed lineages like modern lines. The American market wants truth, honesty, and no bullshit. If it even seems like there’s bullshit in any way, you will receive many red flags. As the market is full of cons and cheats, this will be a steep learning curve.

OP put his location as USA

Everybody wants to give him benefit of the doubt, but he keeps talking like an AI chatbot

simply because these questions can not be adequately addressed

if he could answer, the answer would be simple and straightforward

but instead, he randomly answers questions with marketing propaganda and weak shit like “Ive been growing for 10 years”

posts 2 pictures, one of which is stolen

The only cultural difference is one person here is a liar trying to make a quick buck

Earlier, people were calling me mean and whatnot

But OP can’t even address these accusations or questions logically

Why would I trust someone who can’t even handle a simple q&a without reading from his marketing prompts?

Why does it seem like this company is what a seed shop would be like if opened and operated by chatgpt?

When I saw that response to what their kush was I thought to myself something seems off with it. Good spot @zephyr.

I agree with others who are skeptical due to the vagueness and indirectness with the this seed shops answers. As a community with quite savvy hobbyists and a depth of knowledge and curiosity about the plant and it’s generics it’s certainly a proving grounds of sorts here at Overgrow with respect to seeds coming into the retail marketplace.

Asking for testers is one thing, and it’s great. And people offering seeds for testing can ask whichever requirements they want.

I don’t think it’s an attractive offer though, here are some reasons why. Overgrow as a community is already full of members eager to share freely their quality genetics. The members here already often utilize this platform to document their gardening journey. Quality pictures and commentary with elevated analysis is abundant on this forum.

I think it’s a tall order to ask people to go away from here to submit information basically qualifying them, as if sending in a resume and the job isn’t even guaranteed. Then to expect they work for free eagerly as if the seeds are worth the hassle. Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t. How the community and potential retail customers would know if those seeds are any good would hopefully come from genuine unbiased reviews. Surely you see the value of these seed testing reviews you seek? Otherwise you wouldn’t be seeking them out.

I think it’s important to remember that here on Overgrow we are flush with quality seeds. Across the community the genetic library here is paramount in the hobby. We aren’t in dire straits for seeds, and potential good reviews made here and by members here for retail seeds would be quite valuable for a seed shop. Reviews from members in the community are often responsible for the popularity of so many varieties. Because one grow log showed the plants in a good light. How well they are able to describe the nuanced attributes. Basically marketing for the seed shops and breeders.

Just some casual criticism. Take it as you will. Many blessings and much love

If we tell the ai how we spotted it, it will come back stronger. Weird thinking.

Yes this, and if we tip our hand everytime we get a new sponsor. First how will we support our platform, second how will we not be easily triggered. What is the end game, for Us to prosper. Is there a perfect sponsor for a platform of Us. No

Do these guys expect a return for joining, of course. They paid for that. Do we enjoy a return on our initial investment here(0). I sure do.

You might not be thier customer, they may be your customer. They sell seeds , you make seeds.

With all due respect

If you think the guy has potential, you can partner up with him

I would prefer partnering with someone who is more capable, and can meet my future needs. Someone who can’t answer basic questions isn’t the right fit for me.
