Sadly I am out of Photos to trade lol, and i dont give up my autos lmao. All jokes aside, I am gonna be working on either a cross or a BX of Limon Blanco from Khalifa Genetics, Im growing if for their contest, They send 1 seed, no pressure dont screw it up lol. So I think what im gonna do is take cuttings of it at about 3 weeks old, root them, and try to reverse one for a BX and the other half of the cuttings hit with Mango Hashplant Pollen since the Limon Blanco is a pheno of a Hashplant anyway.

Well folks, I did that second germ test. Many of the seeds did the same thing but I did end up with a few popping this time. So in the end I got 4 of them to start. Looks like their is some life in these seeds after all. No idea what’s up with them but at least I can get some to go which is great news. Hey @420noob , all is not lost after all with regards to the Jack Herer.

@DougDawson Try this method with a new batch, and see if it improves your germination rate, this is what I do and it works well for me. I go with the 0.25% Concentration rate. 9.5ml Liquid humic Acid mixed in 1 gallon of distilled water will give you the 0.25% solution, I use this as an overnight soak, then i use it to wet the paper towel, I have successfully hit 90% germination on 20 year old tomato seeds using this and 8 of the 9 that popped grew to adult hood. Only difference between how i do it and the study is I soak the seed over night not just for an hour.
“In the present study, we have tested the effect of humic acid on seed germination of Radish (Raphanus sativus). Seeds were soaked in various concentrations (0.1%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1%) of humic acid at different time periods (10, 60, 120, 180 and 240 minutes). After 7 days, the seeds were analysed for their germination capacity, root and shoot length. The study infers that humic acid with the concentration of 0.25% showed maximum seed germination (100%) and the optimum shoot and root length was recorded as 6.175cm and 11.46cm respectively after 60 minutes soaking.”

The problem is with the seeds. They just reacted badly for some reason. They split open and ozzed out in multiple spots instead of sprouting a tap root. Folks have had good results with those seeds so I have no idea what happened to the batch that was sent to me. Were they stuck in a roasting hot postal truck perhaps, I will never know. So it’s not that they are not cracking. I am done testing them, I have done 2 germ tests at this point and at least can see there is life left in them. When I give them away they will come with a disclaimer and more seeds so folks can get a few plants out of them. I will leave the experimenting on methods to those folks. Thanks for the info and study, it’s really interesting. I downloaded a copy to read though. I may have to pick up some humic acid to add to my arsenal.
