Sept 2023, Landrace / Heirloom Challenge

Go! We’ll see. My “calculated risk” is about 10 feet tall now. It’s like entering a forest for plucking fan leaves

Very much looking forward to seeing this unfold, @MissinBissin and @HeadyBearAdventures

Too Big Too Quick @George, at least you kept the Busy half from the looks of it.

Funny to hear a 3-gallon pot is Too Big, she’s a beauty regardless

Ok, Seeds have been planted this morning, and a small bunch remain in water.
Tent is running with some R.H.% building and 79F. Cups w/Seeds have been watered gently with lids to maintain RH%
Congo will wait till this evening to be planted… but She/It are busting-out. Seed-crack was a success
Squirrel Tail

Caribbean Dream x2 below

All 3 Oaxacan are planted
Both Bhadra shots below show some aggressive roots

Congo has till dark and the Tail gets planted

Good morning @MissinBissin . I’ve got a couple of those Squirrel Tail, from Tlander, in the cooker room. When the lights come on tonight, I’ll take some pics and post them on my thread so you can get an idea of what to expect.
I love the micros of the floaters! That’s the way I do my starts, only I use a aloe vera/water slurry.
Things are gonna get wild over here!!
:grin::v:

They really are a game changer! No more seedling transplant stress when all you do is bury the bag. :bear::+1:
I picked them up last winter, and it’s all I use now.

Keeping the Seedlings UNDER the light, dialing some conditions into the tent
And thats no typo on the Bhadra A sample. It was the 1st seed to Pop and thats how it’ll (“A”) forever be spelt. Gonna smoke some Bhudra

Happy to say as of this morning the Germination is at 15/15 with the Congo arriving just in time.
Taken last nite, all parties are represented this morning. The seedlings have levelled off at 10cm in height, with the light 16cm above that, stems are firming up nicely… with a intermittent breeze

And the next Pot size is being considered; 7”x7”x7”

Sept 4th is day 1 of Veg and we have Full participation; 15 out of 15, 3 of each from 5 strains.
The plan as it stands is 3 full weeks of 22/2 lite schedule, then 2 days of dark to Aid in a Sex Reveal effort.

Any further veg beyond 4 weeks is doubtful

Foliar application begins today w/ fulvic acid and transport

Already I’m loving the Oaxacan skinny leaves

Plants have levelled-off at 10cm and are filling-out. Lite is 16cm above the Leaves with increasing intensity. @VIVOSUN Fan is moving the layer of air between them
Working on the principal of light intensity. Which can be found most easily with proximity. Room is 29c.
@MarsHydro TS-1000 slowly being increased; ppfd 260 starting this a.m.

Its also 41c here in Lambton County with clear blue skies and insane heat/humidity for the next week. Thanks Lake Huron
Tent is open, blue light from the windows of my Porch…
Had to get the bags out of the Rimmed-container… they stayed moist ! (done)

Congo A has a huge attitude, right out of the gate

I must acknowledge that its spelt properly as BHADRA. Was having fun prepping things

Last day of week 1 in Veg
Here comes the Fun. This Oaxacan in the front left has the skinniest leaves

Little black flying insects (fungus gnats) have been seen bouncing around. Some diotomaceous material gets spread this aft

I’m thinking you may need a quality control technician at harvest time to make sure everything is grade A ^ ^
