Too early to tell but if I had to make a bet, it would be male. Got anything on the next node up?

It’s a male. I mean wait for others more experienced to confirm but it’s a male.

I would agree that at this point you would see stigma (little white hair) also wrongly known as pistil if it were female. My guess is male. But another week will tell you.

I always take 2 lower branches off each reg seed plant for clone around 2.5-3wks, then put all those clones on 12/12 to root, and show sex at the same time. Then you have a better idea of sex with the corresponding plants. I know alot of plants take up to 6 to 8 weeks in Veg to throw preflowers, but with this method above, it can be done within 4 weeks from seed. Hope this helps someone!

I started breeding almost 11 years ago now, and I still do this when running a reversal or selfing of a female(s). But when doing Reg breedings I just let them go all natural to see structure and lower branching stretch when young.

Another note: I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed, but the first two nodes rarely ever produce enough stretch to get to the top canopy like 3rd and 4th nodes usually do. So when taking clones for sexing, I’ll take the lowest pair of branches for sexing, and I’ll take both branches from the second node for clones to keep in case I keep those female phenos, or males for breeding. I see alot of newer growers leaving those lower branches on, and just wanted to offer some advice on taking those non producing lowers for sexing clones.

In the original pic… bottom left just above thumb. Follow that branch up to right between your fingers… is that not a white hair?

If not… then I agree it’s probably a male going by other pics.

No there are no white hairs. It’s the tip of the calyx (not sure of the name) on the other side. Same as the 2 in the foreground.
