Jz need a bundle of soil 2x 3.8cu ft.
You are looking at something like the first item on the list with maybe a few items from below, but maybe not enough???
This is a nearly perfect recipe for cannabis.
I steal it directly from @Muleskinner’s post.
7.25 gallons Lambert 111 organic mix (peat & 15% perlite)
1.5 gallons Coast of Maine Penbobscot compost blend (sometimes a little more of this)
2 gallons Perlite
3 quarts coarse Vermiculite
1.5 quarts Worm Castings
1/2 cup Blood Meal (8 tablespoons)
1/2 cup Lobster Meal
1/2 cup Seabird Guano
1/2 cup Alfalfa meal
1/2 cup Kelp meal
1/2 cup Dolomite Lime
1/4 cup Azomite
1/4 cup Langbeinite
He never feeds once he plants. Just water.
idk i could go to www.homedepot.com and get it for $5 a bag.
i’d buy it online and pay x3 + s/&h.
Unfortunately, HD get’s the HD shuffle from all vendors except nail guns.
It would be OK to start with that, but definitely find some goodies to amend it with. I would definitely get some compost and lots of perlite, and at a minimum and the lobster meal and kelp meal are good all around helpers.

I need 3.8 cubic ft worth of soil.
That should hold you all the way through the grow, but yeah, that doesn’t seem unusual.
Have you got a grow space, light etc?
My grow space is outdoor.
Righteous.
New England outdoors.
Do you have a compost pile yet?
If you started one now, by late spring it would already be up and running.
I got 3 weeks till it starts getting nice out.
Old New England rule of Thumb…
Fear of Frost is over after June 1.
I put this seed in the ground on July 1. No special treatment, just well amended soil. This pic was taken mid September.
I had 5 @madscientist seeds didn’t notice it was cold outside.
Jz bought 10 3g pots.
I am planning my outdoor grow too.
The plants will survive at colder temps, but won’t perform up to their potential.
So I am going to start my seeds for the outdoor plants on April 1 in containers in the green house.
A small cold frame works miracles. Cheap and easy, and you can start sometime in April too.
Nice, will be watching along with you if you don’t mind.
When you say outdoor, are you in garden or guerrilla?
What sort of date do you normally germinate?
I germed at end of July last year, it was too late, first batch I killed off
Best of luck with the season anyway.
