How are you storing these to preserve?
I put them in my seed fridge inside a mason jar with the flip top rubber sealed lid. This is my first attempts at trying to save pollen I sifted out all the plant material and let it dry for a couple days on wax paper so hopefully all moisture is gone.
Them leaves look better than some buds I’ve seen lol
It’s all the pollen that is sticking to the trichomes really makes them look frosted as fuck. You want some pollen for your NLbx seedling that would be a good one.
I believe I have 7 of the F2s you sent me up it may actually be 8 I only remember one cup getting tossed hoping to get a male and female of the NLbx would love to dump some NL pollen on some of this new age stuff kind of hoping to have a mini stud farm of a tent soon I’ve been saving this wild animal hot trash in August smelling white dawg gogi male think I may hit a gogi with that would it be considered a backcross if it’s not of the same parent stock?
I guess it would kinda be an outcross being worked back into the original line. IDK how that would work . Old school NL pollen oh yeah I was really excited to see the NL5 preservation thread show up hopefully I can contribute to the seed preservation list.
So you got 7 or 8 Goji can’t wait to see what you find in those .
Your more than welcome to some cuts or pollen if there is any of the NL if there’s both I’ll make seeds same goes for anything you see of mine come across the screen don’t be shy I don’t mind sharing
Would really like to see more og collaboration projects there’s a cool one called agent k … Just as much to find in members Chuck’s then in stuff for sale not much line work gets done these days anyway just one off crosses of others one off crosses lol
Absolutely spread the love everyone. So many people with crazy seed stashed away and will never see the light of day need to encourage people to start sprouting seeds and engage with the community.
I restore Cars and it’s like that original 67’ goat I see in a guys garage that all you can recognize is the grill from all the junk piled on and around it. The old “I’m gonna restore it one of these days”. No they are not, they would rather see Mother Earth take it back than sell it to someone that will preserve a lost gem.
I’d love to give some Goji a try when the F3s are done. What characteristics are you breeding towards?
Resin production #1 and color but really trying to keep these pretty open for f3s that’s why I am using 3 different males to keep the genes fairly diverse. I only sprouted 20 seeds to start with and culled them down to 8 plants , 3 males and 5 females so I don’t want to try and work a specific line or certain direction in such a small pool. I will start trying to refine them in the f3s maybe select some females and try the pollen I have been collecting on individual plants and see what direction they go. Lots of possibly directions these can go but the ultimate goal is to make a breeding tool instead hybrids on top of hybrids but I’m a long way from an f6 .
Oregon Huckleberry looking good the stems are almost as big as a sharpie and it’s only a 15 inches tall. I think I have two females and a male but I think she is going to get some Goji pollen on her see if I can steal some of that thick structure from the OH.
Someone has to do the line work or 20 years from now what will we have
Still much more Indica looking than I would have imagined
That’s what I’m thinking awfully wide leaves especially after you showed me the picture of your Heri. We shall see I got to start hardening these today while I think about it.
