But it’s got to be Quebec because they seem to be the only ones that can properly cook the fries. As far as I’ve seen Ontario is a complete strikeout… and I was born here… 
The difference is: they double fry the fries…

These shoe-string fries are crispy and still have a soft interior…and… no grease!
The other reason it has to Quebec Poutine is the cheese curds. Cheese curds in Quebec always ‘squeak’ that means they are fresh. Only once did I find squeaky curds in Ontario…
I could go on… but to cut a shaggy dog short…
