Here is drunken cherry fog dog auto ( clear cup )
And Red Velvet Cake Auto ( green cup )

Question, at this stage about how much ppfd should an auto be getting ?

I’d say when they’re in the tent they’re probably getting 200-400 depending where I set them , and on my desk I’d say about the same 200-400 ish ppfd.

Slow start but we’re moving along xD

Throw the light at them. Red velvet can take it. That cup maybe not so much :upside_down_face::upside_down_face::upside_down_face:. Seriously though I was never one to back down on the light during early veg. My thoughts are The sun doesn’t have a dimmer give it to them until they cry uncle.

What’s wrong with the cup? Clear is bad I’m guessing haha ?

I think he’s probably saying it looks like it’s already melting 🫠

oh no its chilling haha XD , the desk light produces alot of PPFD but keeps alot of the heat just centralized on the bulb itself , I mean it MIGHT be a few degrees warmer under the light than ambient temps

Small update : I sat them under the tent lights and we got praying leave action, woot woot

Thanks! But I don’t think it’s working. Out of all the plants, it seems like the auto is the only that’s actually wicking up water. Maybe the soil has to be drenched for the wicking to start…

Day 26 and everyone is happy. The little autos are in full flower at the bottom.

These Meatbreath S1’s from @wizdom are enjoying the flower tent!

The clones are also loving life in the new tent!

The wicks have to be completely soaked at all times if any part dries it won’t wick all the way up

A braided puffy shoelace type wick might work better. Back when vaping started to blow up and we were making our own coils and wicks, everything was braided and twisted (the cotton/silica wicks, and the heating coil wires) to create surface area for the ejuice to cling to and wick up.

This one has a screw clamp to pinch the wick to slow the flow. I haven’t tried it out yet. Impulse purchase.

If you braided your twine, you’d get better wicking, but too thick and you might oversaturate

I wonder if you couldn’t clamp it loosely with a paperclip or something to control flow

Appreciate the info, @hoss8455 @breadwinner

I’ll give soaking the wick/soil a try and will definitely go with a thicker wick next time. Until then, they will carry on with top watering…maybe I’ll try bottom watering too.

I don’t know anything about solo cup growing, but I’ve grown a gang of pepper plants in beer cans. All I can remember is they I was always watering and using my leftover jugs of nutes. I’m accident prone, so I’ll see how long these can last  I constantly knocked the cans over
