Good luck! I’m running organic but not landrace.
I m pretty sure I could run One in a SoloCup but not organic as I Ve never grown organic style
I kinda wanted to run some long flowering types too to get a sample before running a whole plant that takes 6 months to flower lol but the idea of cloning from a little solo mother while still trying to compete was too much for my small mind. I’m sticking with 10-13 weekers :dizzy:
Also goodluck with the true organics! That’s tuff but I’m here for it
Small pots are definitely not easy, but I have a plan to deal with it.
I don’t think it would be doable in organic soil. Coco for sure!
@JustANobody I’m trying to figure out what I can enter for the sativa category…Durban poison? I think that has a shorter flowering time.
Some pure sativas flowered from seed can finish by week 13 or so, about 100 days…
Maybe categorize as 1) beginner, 2) expert, and 3) @Mr.Sparkle ( kidding of course)I swear he pulled a bigger yield out of a solo cup grow than I did out of a five gallon:grin:
Thank you very much for the invite. But i’m not a good enough grower to compete with all you guys. I’ll be happy to watch the show.
I have no clue bud, I’d personally just wing it and see what happens.
You should be able to get by with most things under 15-16 weeks I’d think. With 30-40 days veg you could probably still squeeze in under 150 days but it was also mentioned whenever the last sativa is done.
Since I only have 76 days from March 1st until I’m out of town for 3 weeks, I signed up with the fastest auto’s I have on hand.
You have the best animated gifs
I’m entering with Peshawar, so it was to give you recognition for the seeds I have from you
Pz
You’re a trooper @LonelyOC. I Can’t wait to see that Peshawar in a cup. Most of these go Around 12-14 weeks flowering. I’m curious to see if any veg time lowers required flowering times. They like some extra nitrogen at the start of flower making
@Upstate I’m going 24h first week 18h second and third, then it’s 12h all the way baby! I plan to run Canna coco with 10% earth worm and 2% fras. That should give them what they need for the first weeks, and then compose tea, top dress and I’ll amend with synthetics if I have to, which I probably will. But my plan is to focus on getting healthy and strong roots ASAP.
Pz
@DirtySlowToes the RPF4 is a sativa effect, indica growth kinda deal. 10 or 15% will stretch out, but most of them do not double in size during flower.
I will throw my hat in the ring at some point.
Thank you !!
Ok guys I’m gonna start six feminized seeds here, two each of the three different categories and try them all! I’ll take the best looking of each strain and use that for the comp and the rest will get potted up and tossed into flower, why not?
I’ll get into my collection this evening and post up the choices, won’t start them for a few days but I better choose and say it publicly to commit myself or I’ll never pick in time
Not in a few days …march
Same! Unless there’s some silly categories, I enjoy a competition and I don’t mind if my chances of winning are super low, but I feel like they’re zero, so I’m probably going to just be a spectator.
However, to make sure I’m constructive vs. just pouty, if you’d like to add some light-hearted categories I’ll be happy to provide appropriately entertaining prizes for them, including seeds.
Examples could be:
-Shortest plant, measured from solo cup rim to tip of top bud. Negative numbers accepted.
-Fastest finish to cloudy trichomes - date stamped photo required.
-Most bountiful-looking seeded plant
-Most princely male
It’s totally okay if you don’t want to expand your contest into goofy categories. Just throwing this out there.
It’s for fun 🤷 I’m growing about 3 and keeping one due to space issues, but it’s a fun challenge to keep it going win or lose. Maybe we’ll enen get a laugh out of something someone grows.
I may not be doing 9 but im back in. Going to grow some Big Bad Wolf.
