I’ve found bottom heat really helps with my germination rates. I use a thrift store heating pad under a flat with a grided flat on top of that, which holds the seeded cells. I keep some water in the bottom flat, and use a dome. A rack of screw-in leds keeps them going later.
Update on my sick plant: shes kicking ass now… is there a point i should clip the flowers so it can focus on ripening the existing peppers? Or just let it go wild making new ones everyday
Wow!! What a cool and informative thread. I’m new here and stumbled upon this. Some beautiful plants and peppers in here. As much as I like peppers, I’m not sure this isn’t as interesting as what I joined this site for
Anyway, thank you to all who contribute, I will pop in from time to time and check things out! After looking through here and reading all of this expertise, I will not be sharing my attempts at growing peppers, lol. Not yet anyway.
I think it took a couple of months! The longest part of the peppers life is reaching maturity, and after that it’s all productivity! Once those flowers start to pop off, the peppers just keep forming and the plant grows larger. Eventually it took over the entire room, so I had to start cutting it back.
