the guys in the house finally finished and won’t be back for about 10 days. so, i quickly chopped the last two. That ends this seed round using gh nutes maxibloom only while exposed to ambient temps/humidity. the maxibloom was great. no need for anything else.
The Grateful Red was full of seeds, but I am not sure how mature they are. I wonder if plants with slower flowering have slower seed development. anyway, the ice cream cake went a long time, 81 days. it was pretty dense. both still had a bit of white hairs, but this is my moment before the next round of work in the house. looks like i won’t get to start up the next one until early july.
They got pretty tangled up. the ICC stretches way too much to keep around.

Grateful Red from Happy Bird. This thing smells great. the last time it cured to a lemon starburst sort of smell. it was also a bit skunky. really nice. it’s similar this time.

Just a few more days to go before i kick off the next round of buds. I finally finished the remodel, then i had to go to Jamaica with the kiddo…and another bunch of stuff I have to do this weekend, but Sunday, it’s going down. can’t wait. i’ve been smoking the same bud for so long. still, it won’t be until late december before i can smoke something new.
btw, i did end up with 25 nice looking seeds i got in a small town near Negril. I had to search hi and low to find any bud with seeds. i even bought some that was supposed to have seeds but didn’t have any in there…ugh. Jamaica was a little messed up this time after the hurricane hit. the hawkers were unreal. hardly any good bud there.
the bud i got with seeds didn’t look too good. i think it was pretty old and had not been stored well. most of the bud isn’t stored well and hardly anything was green…just browns.
Got this near the blue hole around Petersfield which is a few miles east of Negril in the foot hills. this rasta village had 12 year olds on motorcycles smoking joints while they drove. it was pretty wild…i even saw underage dude prostituting …waving an orange towel…it was messed up.
this bud smelled pretty good. it reminded me of the old monky skunk that was the normal good bud in past decades when i went. so, it seems authentic to me. the high on the bud was there, but it wasn’t very pleasant. i think it was just too far gone. i found a few other buds, lower quality than what is considered th best now, that smelled the same. i could get high on them. all seemed mostly sativa with a slight indica maybe in there. it’s hard to tell since the bud maybe was all cbn. anyway, if someone wanted to pop some in short order, i would send a few. i really want to see how this can be when treated nice. usually, after about a week in negril, i would find some of this bud in good condition. it was comparable to dispo mids in potency, but the taste and high was great.

so, i finally popped the beans. I haven’t had anything growing since Feb and haven’t popped beans since last year.
All 12 seemed to germinate, and all but 1 was up 8 hours after planting in a perlite coco mix. they are getting some blue light from the old blurple lamp…trying to keep them squat.

running about 83f in the tent, vented for temperature.
All beans were put into ph’d wet paper towels in baggies, then into a cereal box and kept at 78f for 72 hours. Most of them were well outside the seed husk and were just growing in the paper towel. i did have a few that had gone through the paper towel, but tearing apart the paper freed them pretty easily. only the Adams hasn’t really come up yet, but i can see it at the soil line. The SSH root is a bit curly…i may need to pop another one, and the Platinum Valley has a hard shell that is struggling to come off. Overall, this was my best germination…12/12.

so, we are at the 2 week mark since planting, and18 days from dry seed.
Everything is going pretty well. I seem to have run into some calcium deficiency. It’s mostly on the ISS. PH may have been off for a couple waterings, nutes were pretty low and vpd was hard to control.
The ISS smells of skunk spray. This little plant is stinking up things already. the Romulan is also a stinker.
Before transplanting:
The Labmeat @Wizdom. It has a few frilled leaves. vpd or light intensity issues i am guessing. last time i had one like this it went the whole grow looking pretty angry.

I am using the drying tent, 2x4, for a temporary veg space, since one of my production tents’ zipper decided to die on me…i think the new one just got delivered. yes…but i am tired now.
I should have popped a few autos. without using the square farmer drains it looks like i can fit a few 86oz pots in there. well, i have these queen’s banner, some cdlc x pink panama, zamadelica express and some magic ape ball to setup in wet paper towels.

Not sure what this is. I found it on a old cut of the Acapulco Gold BC1. Perhaps septoria, but hoping it’s a deficiency. Cuts were taken a few weeks ago, so i guess i will trash the plant. Everything got sprayed with Bonide Sulfur.

whatever the issue is with the clone tent, it will just have to be after getting the sulfur. i think if the environment is in check there won’t be any issue in my other tents.
anyway, i popped some autos to keep in some unused space. A few of these hold genetics from so called top seed sources, so it will be cool to see if any live up to the hype. Also, i wanted to experiment with a smaller pot size, and with a higher number of plants.

popped, 6 for 6. they will go into a 86oz hempy buckets in a couple days. i’ve run them in 2 gallons and they have a range of sizes from small to normal sized for my tents (like a 7 week veg). so,i don’t expect too much yield. maybe a half oz a piece or better would be fine.
I wish i had a better feel for the timings on these. Being able to fill my flower tent when the first couple photo plants come down would be nice.

i’ve run atlas, fastbuds and a cross of ethos/happy bird without getting too high. Auto enthusiasts often attribute my dissatisfaction with not getting them from a good source. Well, this should fix that. it would be cool to be able to rely on autos for a lot of my buds.

The only anomaly thus far is that one of the Zamaldelica Express has this really odd coteledon/leaf stucture. it’s pretty cool actually, but I wonder if it is indicative of anything.

Looks sort of like there were almost two pairs of seed leaves, kind of conjoined twin style. I doubt it means anything, other than being an interesting variation and giving the plant some extra resources to start off with.

ok so, we’re now at day 35 veg and I think they are more developed that my last run at a little more than 7 weeks. I may have to flip this next week. This run i am using more veg nutes and I did something a little different on the germination that I think saved a few days at least…i waited longer for the seed to germinate in the paper towel…they all sprouted the very next day.

Sitting at day 7 of flower after about 38 days veg… I just broke off the main top of the island sweet skunk trying to do some training. yay. i should have broken down the stem first, but oh well. it was pretty tall. the rest of the plant will make up for it maybe.
It looks like the romulan is male. the other reg, the green crack and the adams seem female. i might have to keep an eye on the green crack, but the it looks like we have a full set and then some.
The auto grow is going really well. things blew up on the last few days. i think the taller zam is female. the shorter one seems herm…not perfectly sure yet, but it may have a few male bits in the mix.
