Posted this in the hash thread, but wanted to give an update! I just made some bubble from @THCeed CBD Blueberry and it smells dope! Debating running the rest of it.

Hey Everyone, I have been noticeably absent for the past several weeks, due to some exciting new changes in my life, but I have still been busy trying to work through my latest run. I just got what I feel like is my dream job, so now I can really rest up and get back to spending time with my plants and learning the ropes.
Excuse the horrible pictures, but will make more regular updates as the veg state progresses.
First off we have some wonderful Death Bubba from @SensiBowl ! The clones he provided me with are growing vigorously, and am hoping to keep this around as a mom.
one has been growing slower, but I think its due to the placement in the tent, but nevertheless it is a real stinker in veg, so excited to see what happens.
Next up is some Mango Fems (KCBrains) from @Mithridate, was battling some low humidity early on, but now that the furnace is on in the house, we are cooking along! Added a WOW wallace starter pack that I was graciously given by my secret santa to this plant, so will see how it goes.
I have an OG Kush CBD from @THCeed hanging out in the back, if it is anything like the blueberry I ran last time, this one should rock!
I also have a cannatonic perkins cut chugging along
I watered yesterday with some megacrop as well as some of the humic/fulvic acid that was given by my secret santa, so hoping that will help with the growth and assist in the nutrient uptake.
I have a couple plants going in solo cups, that I will photograph today, but thats where I am at right now.

Looking to try my hand at some breeding. I recently acquired a secondary tent which will allow me some leeway to play around and try and find some crosses. I am going to try and find a male from the cannatonic perkins cut seeds I have and pollinate the following:
Purple Kush
Sour Bubble
Raspberry Gas Mask
Sour Diesel
Wondering if anyone has some tips for this, I have 5 of the cannatonic seeds soaking now, and will be able to clone each of the plants early on and put the clones in my flowering tent to figure out sex. Then I will break it down to an ideal male and hopefully let the pollen fly.
I was wondering if there is a ballpark on the amount of seeds I could generate from plants in 1 gallon pots and if the return on investment would be greater than using solo cups.

The timing (generally) is wait for the 3rd week of flower before pollinating (lots of active pistils), 6 weeks for seed development (I like to let them go a week or two longer if schedule allows) and then harvest.
They seem to like veg nutriments a little better when producing seed and another trick I learned is dial the light intensity back 20%. That seems to cut back on the ‘duds’.
I go 3~5 gallon pot size depending on the plant size, but it works with 1 gallon OK. I haven’t done it in solos yet but lots of folks have!

Like @Gpaw said, around 3rd week when you have nice little puff balls of pistils. Most of the time I will pollinate twice a week apart, for good measure. This time I only pollinated once so I’m curious to see the difference in seed amount. I selectively pollinate because I grow for smoke at the same time, so a week after the first pollination there are new pistils in those same buds to hit.
I’m not sure you can really equate seed haul to pot size, I’ve never looked at it as how many seeds can a root ball produce…but that’s an interesting thought. What I do know though is a plant in a 1gal can produce hundreds of seeds.

Amazing, thank you for taking the time to provide me with some info. All seeds have sprouted tails so they will be going into the tent tomorrow once my light hangers arrive. Will keep this thread updated.

Cool! Thanks brother! I was wondering your tips for selectively pollinating would be, I would love to simultaneously grow some out for smoke and then also make seeds. I am thinking about removing the males to somewhere with less light to collect pollen and then pollinating the plants I want and wetting them and keeping them separate for a day or two and then returning them to the flowering space.

It sounds to me like youve got a good plan! If moving my plants wasn’t such a pain in the ass I’d do it like that too. I do get rogue pollen hitting unlabeled flowers.
Other than that it just depends how many seeds you want make. You can get many out of one nice puffball!

Here is a long overdue update!
I have just switched my main tent to flower after some defoliation!
The Mango from KCBrains graciously traded from @Mithridate has been slow to veg, but going to send it into flower for science and see where it goes. also keeping a cut of this to give it a long veg in my veg tent and see what happens.
The OG Kush CBD from @THCeed is bushy as fuck haha!

The cannatonic perkins cut is also doing well, curious if it will be male, but will keep a watchful eye on this one. Really excited to see what comes from it, I love cannatonic and have high hopes for this one!
I also set up my 4x2 veg tent last night, really excited to have the ability to have two things running at once, and I have stuffed it full! Will take pics this evening once the lights come on

So funny story about my “flowering” tent haha. So on the day of my last post, I changed the timer and thought I had sent those plants off into 12/12 and I waited and waited and waited for some budsites to start showing, but noticed the plants just kept growing. I attributed it to a stretch, but by chance I was down in the veg tent and decided to see how the light was faring, and lo and behold it was on, out of my schedule. Turns out I had forgot to start the new program, and they had been getting 24 hours of light lol. Anyways, so I took them out, gave them a haircut and ensured the timer works. So here we go for flower.
This is the cannatonic, really grew tall, and will fit nicely into my screen.
The mango, slow to go, but excited for this little lady to start and make some amazing flower.
@THCeed 's cbd og kush is really chucking out the big fans and has a good OG structure.
the death bubba from @SensiBowl is also really bushing out, gave this lady a big haircut after this as after being topped it is really branchy.

Are you using a digital timer? I just started using them after my last mechanical stopped working. Those things and their manuals remind me of setting up vcr’s

A little update, the flower tent is well on its way after my little timer oopsie!
The Cannatonic is really taking over this tent lol, the stretch was unbelievable, and also partially my fault in giving it so much time to veg out.
The death bubba in the back is starting to put out some really beautiful flowers, cant believe how thirsty it is, about a gallon every other day.
The OG Kush CBD and Mango from KCbrains are chugging along, really didnt plan the canopy too well, but they are getting enough light to do their thing.
I will put together a better update of the flower tent this week, try and catch it before lights on so I can take some good photos, the LED glare really bums me out and prevents good documentation.
The Veg tent is dialed in now after some battles with humidity, I have been adding some spirulina to these plants to provide some good micronutrients and the humic/fulvic soaking and gaia green all purpose are promoting some good growth in there.
From back to front in this photo: 2 Death Bubba Clones, and a CBD OG Kush clone
@Jinglepot the Sour Diesel is standing out amongst the rest of the plants, such vigorous growth, had to top it to try and get a clone to throw into flower to sex. There is a cannatonic in here as well as a GSC F3 and another Death Bubba clone ( really dont want to lose this wonderful cut so creating some redundancies so hopefully I wont have to reveg the one in flower)
Some more GSC F3’s as well as gdp that may very well be stunted back left.

Seemingly biweekly update number whatever haha.
New job has me out and about around my beautiful province, so have had to really devote some evening time to the grow, which has in turn kept me more on it than I have been in the past. Setting the daily intention to check on the plants and do whatever is necessary during my evening routine has been helpful. Also finally purchased some grow glasses, and boy oh boy, that led glare is gone and the plants look beautiful. Now to do something about these horrible pics I have been taking lol.
The flowering tent is bustling, about 4 weeks into flower now, going to hit it it with a defol tomorrow evening to allow for maximum weight and make it easier for myself down the line lol
the cannatonic is really taking over this run, had to bend it again to get it away from the light. Seems to want to go reach the light as much as I want to reach a pint of ben and jerrys every night lool. The stalk on her is really thick
The death bubba from @SensiBowl hanging out in the back, really putting on some hairs. Super excited for this one, and even moreso for the other cuts I have hanging out in veg. This will really produce some wonderful meds.
The cbd OG kush from @THCeed also really trucking along. Short and squat, but super excited for this girl
