Winter’s almost over down here. I imagine one more frost and then smooth sailing. All good here.
Yeah, I got that Kush Mints recovered and got one cutting to root, so now I have a backup. I took a dozen more cuttings two weeks ago, but still no roots. Once I get another one, I’ll make S1s. Also gonna try to cross it to Bubba Kush (if it’s a male) and then back cross it. Just trying to save something close to it in seed form because I can’t keep a mother indefinitely. Same with the other one I have (Grand Traverse Tart Cherry).
Hope you’re doing well and that winter doesn’t last too much longer for you up there.

That’s awesome you recovered her ! The kush mint deff looked like a keeper Glad to hear that! …just getting into the clone scene myself …
Wanna try to be able to keep a good mother going …been slowing down on my seed collection till I wanna start hunting strains …I feel I have entered a diff phase lol …
How are you trying to root them cuttings

Well, the one I got to root I used my old method of good old peat moss/sand in a solo cup and kept it sprayed every day for humidity. The dozen I’m trying to root now, I used seed starting mix and some coco. I took pretty small cuts and put them in a seed tray with a humidity dome. I like not having to mist them several times a day. But I don’t know how much longer they’ll go before they start to rot. For some reason these two have always given me trouble rooting. They’ve always taken 3 weeks or longer.

Huh that is odd .I’ve been messing around with some clones with a aerocloner sometimes the humidity gets down to 35 and I use no dome maybe they want less humidity lol idk …3 weeks dang ! The first time I tried my hand it was 12 days till I seen progress and I changed the water once and put a little big bloom in with the water …I wish the best of luck to you bro !
Forgot to send this last night
Woke up this am got dumped on with some heavy snow …hopefully it melts down quick …gonna be a slop mess and if it freezes tonight a ice rink tomorrow haha

From your Supafreak seeds I have one nice fragrent hollow stem Male and a nice big fragrent female. She is a lot bigger than the male and would be standing a foot above the male if I didnt shape her.
Be fruitful multiply the seed and spread it across all the earth. And so it was written and so it was done.

That’s cool. I’ve been following along in your thread.
By the way, I think your thread has the record for picture density. Every time I open it, it’s sends me back 2 or 3 posts instead of going to the most recent. No other thread does that, so I assume it’s all the pictures that have to load. Not complaining because pictures are great.

I like to show people as much as I can of each strain I grow. I can never find enough pictures of strains I am interested in purchasing. Many have to photos at all that I can find. Its a good thing I start a new grow journal each year, imagine 5000 pages of my photos.

Huge fan of your work!! I’ve read this thread probably 8 times already. Have you continued working on the ABCxDBHP crosses? It would be amazing to see an ABC type bleed!!

Thanks.
No, I stopped after the initial cross. Not 100% sure there wasn’t pollen cross contamination.
I won’t be going down the DBHP road unfortunately.
Have a lot going on right now, but hopefully I can get to another different ABC cross this winter.

Sad to hear about that, but I can’t wait to see where the other crosses lead to. Really exciting stuff. Thanks for documenting so much of your work. It’ll definitely come in handy for working on my own crosses!!

Very busy week for me, but if you want to continue working those ABC x DBHP I made (I think I got to F2), I’ll send them to you when I get a chance. Are you in the US?
But like I said, I just can’t guarantee there wasn’t cross pollination.

I’d be honored to give it a go. Even if cross pollination did happen, it’s always interesting to observe a plant while growing imo. I’m in the Northeast.
