I fed them 500mL of pH’d water @ 5.7, and EC 1.4. A little stream thru the stem all the way down to the reservoir, there was some run off and it was measured at 6.2pH. It had a day or two in there, so the coco chips are still changing the pH on the reservoir nute water, good to know. To make adjustments.
Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in.
I was giving them 650mL to make for some runoff during the first few days, to make the roots reach the reservoir. Now the plants are big and getting bigger by the minute, once they touch the nute water at the bottom their growth is exponential. There were 5 to begin with but only four made it in the tent with all the works. Here!
They are only getting 500mL of nute pH’d water every two or three days, it’s lovely. Barely no wasting nutes, controlling and monitorinf pH is easy and i am loving it. Their timer is set to 20/4.
These are one gallon hempy buckets!

EDIT, after taking the pics i removed the plants and got rid off excess water at the reservoir to feed them with 50% Veg-50% Bloom nutes in order to assist the already showing preflowers. I believe this is necessary for at least the first two weeks of flowering, the plants are still stretching and also need their PK. So yeah that is my thinking.
I cleaned everything real nice and neat too.
Looking good man
nice healthy colour
That might mean they need feeding as I tend to under feed everything
or so I used to get told on another forum
sure somebody more knowledgeable will say…
Thanks man! I will feed them every week with new pH’d nute water. Thanks for looking out bro!
I believe they are hungry when they drop a bit not when they are in a good hydrostatic pressure level. Anyway, i will keep a close eye on them and avoid any problems.
It wasnt a dig man, I honestly think they look exactly the right colour
as you say they look “perky”
I always went with under instead of over feeding and its a habit I have kept
1.9EC @5.9pH 500mL each. A mixture of 3mL Grow, 7mL Bloom & 4mL Cal-Mag in half gallon tap water.
TechnaFlora has my respect.
They are making me look good, the weed i got from the three little hydroponic ones from the challenge has got to be the best i have grown yet. So yeah man!

They are looking really good my friend.
Still following along
These babies seem to be on the right path. They already showed preflowers, i am giving them 50% Grow/50% Bloom Formula with additives. Will keep on feeding Grow (N) for the next two or three weeks. So they don’t start cannibilizing themselves.
Tallest one in the lotShortest one of them
Hopefully all four turn red/purple.

Ok, need to update here.
So, hempy buckets rock!
They all started to flower and they are getting 50/50 Veg-Bloom, i had autos in the past suffer a lot of deficiencies because i stopped feeding N as soon as they showed pistils so, anyway, they are getting that @ 6.0pH and 1.4EC.

Incredible vigor and growth, i attribute that to mostly two factors, hempy tech and nute efficiency.
You guys be the judge.

Today
They are already showing purple buds coming… I was lucky, got three purple phenos out of 5 seeds.

Another update, they woke up more purple than yesterday… WOOHOO!
Check it out.
Only two of them are turning purple, but i saw a video on youtube of a guy whom had them go purple when they were advanced into flower… So i dunno. To early to say, they don’t even have trichomes yet.

Loving the hempy coco grow. Those girls are getting tall, hope they turn out sweet I tried hempys with perlite last year but i screwed it up, temps got too high and i got root rot. Had to get cool tubes but went back to good old compost in airpots and stuck with it since.
some turn only once in flower.
I think they are still gonna get darker. Seen lots of grows on youtube and forums, everyone seems please with the color it takes by finishing time. Also, i have seen green plants turn purple at the very end of the flowering phase. So, here they are, only time will tell.
They all get more purple as time goes on well the ones that are gonna be purple, i’ve grown enough of them.
No not the XL red auto’s but the dark devils in general. No matter how they are crossed into other genetics, i have found that if they are showing purple early they will definitely be darker later on. That and if they aren’t starting to show some color once they start throwing out pistils in mass then you will get little or no color by harvest unless you starve them near finish to force whatever underlying color they may have.
