Awesome to see. More I grow the more interested in other types I become. I am going to grow a Nigerian Silk x Sour outdoor this year. I am looking for the strong and long that makes you ask, did I just see that?
That strain sounds really cool! If you post a grow log I’d love to check it out.
I’m having fun trying out some landraces that are a bit different, and hoping to find make something that regularly produces plants with thcv.
I need to research thcv. Thank you for my Sunday research topic. I will try and start a thread when I transition outside. I am just keeping my female alive, cheap LED, organic water only soil and she is a little rootbound. I want her looking pristine when I show her off.
Sprouts are up. I got 6 good sprouts, 1 runt and 3 that either came up with deformity or didn’t come up at all. Pretty soon I’ll load these up into some tree pots and veg for a few weeks.
I also got some presents from @8k_feet. He loaded me up with some seeds from his SyrianLeb dwarf selection. I’ll sprout all these with some from mine for a bit of genetic diversity. I’ll probably start these in 2 weeks when the Ethiopian are far enough along.
Has anybody bought TLC kits from somewhere they recommend? I’d like to use some for selection this round.
They’re coming along. I left them in their starter tray a bit too long and they’re starting to complain. Time to put them into tree pots for a few weeks.
Dang I’ve been missing out on your new project but glad I found it now. Always enjoy the details and documenting you do.
Thanks for following along @deeez99. I might need your help once I have some tlc tests.
Small update. Plants got some transplant shock but are mostly recovered. I had to turn off the flood cycle for nearly 5 days before they were ready. Now I’m feeding 1x/day and they’re coming along nicely.
Not much else to report just yet. I’ll start some SyrianLeb seeds soon, since these Ethiopians should be far enough ahead to guarantee pollen.
I’m going to try some of this stuff indoors/outdoors for IPM.
I’m not wanting to spend $75-100 for the QST713 bacillus subtillis serenade equivalent. This is a newer product, so we’ll see how it does.
@deeez99 I’ve ordered tests from cannalytic supply.
They’re currently having a 42% off sale. Great deal!
Oh sweet that is a great deal! Thanks for the heads up on that as it’s a perfect time for me to order up some more dye too.
Thanks for the heads up on the testing kits @lefthandseeds and @deeez99! Hopefully it just reads more complicated that what the testing process actually is , did I see correctly in another thread that you only use the leaves for the cannabinoid testing as opposed to the flower?
@ElGalloBlanco Using the flower in these tests is most ideal as it’s providing an accurate outcome of the final product. The leaves can be used in a young plant to provide a sneak peak at the different ratios of cannabinoids but these can vary throughout the plant’s lifecycle.
SyrianLeb F3s going into the drink. 3 different dwarf plants from last run in the hunt for a girl to take the Ethiopian pollen.
Treated myself to a new bottle of king crab. I would have gone smaller but my hydro store only has the quart or gallons. My last one lasted me probably 2 years.
This stuff is great. I definitely recommend it. Bottles go a long way.
Ethiopians are coming along. I’ll do probably one more week of veg time at most and then transplant for flowering.
Meanwhile I have some SyrianLeb seeds popping their shells. I’ll have to get them into some coco today.
Ooooh! Looky what you got growing on here! I’m excited about your project, I’ll be following along
Cool stickers , but I craft my own products indigenous microorganisms gathered from an old growth forest (small amounts) you don’t want to rape the woods:) and I bring it back to the farm and grow them out on a wheat bran or whatever really you could use dog food if thats all you can find then you take a pinch of old growth and grow it out to a 50lb pile in 7 days to stage 3 which is badass but you can take it to stage 4 and grow it out another 7 days and then it’s super duper:) which I just simplified it hella and if you wants know more all you gotta do is ask and one has to ask in order to receive it long live the natural farmer I hope my ramblings made sense:) that was a pretty big dab lol PS I hope that doesn’t get taken the wrong way i didn’t mean it if it did , it was a pretty big dab
Unrelated bit of headstash I’m going to try to squeeze in — these are 4P Haze aka Longmont purple haze. They’re a cross of my beloved cut of panama haze with Colorado’s own Paonia purple paralyzer. Pretty exciting! @GMan
Oh yeah! I was hoping you would try them. I will probably try some, too. I been really wondering about this one. Your strain really gave the haze a nice twang to the taste. Maybe I’ll try and grab some pollen at some point and make more. It’s limited to what I sent you and what I have; only 20-30.
