I absolutely dig the slurpee cups for up potting from beer cups. I basically run the same program. Lots of variety and quick turn around.

Would I be better off top-dressing with gaia green 4-4-4 or putting in a half nutrient spike 11-5-5?
Looks like she still has a bit to go? I zoomed in and she looks to still be throwing clusters of white pistils. That chick is a BEAST!!!

I only did the topsoil of the plants in flower as well as a heavy dusting in the room while it was empty with no fans on…then got a good dust cloud going and turned the fans on (to get into little crevices the fans may have blown multiple adult gnats into). Put plants back in once dust had settled (an hour or so after the dusting and running the fans.

Kind of sucks because lots of them are pretty dry and will need water either this evening or tomorrow morning. Going to keep bottom feeding and hope it doesn’t bugger up my top DE coat/layer.
Have only seen 3 gnats this morning!

I had to do a top dress myself. I’m normally not a bottom wateter, but it has been working so far. The only ones the watering messed with were the very small pots.
I haven’t seen a gnat in several days, so i like that part. I did go a little thicker on the top dress, but I’m looking forward to see if that amounts works. If it does I’ll go a little lighter next time! Good luck buddy.
Good to hear you’re having success!! This morning compared to yesterday morning is like walking into a different grow. Yesterday gnats were bussing around constantly…always one in the air. This morning…nothing!..rattled a few pots and 1 flew up and another 2 or 3 since I’ve been down here (about 3 hours). I like the results thus far.
Gonna look into the life cycle of a gnat…how long is average life, from egg to pupae to mature adult is ?? days. I figure if I can keep them wiped for double the average lifespan, I can relax my attack. Or am I being naive…lol.
I used a full bottle of DE for top dressing and dusting veg and flower rooms…lol…have another bottle left, but want to use it rather sparingly…too cheap to buy more unless I really have too.
Are you just doing a quick dip with the bottom of the pots to keep moisture minimal or are you letting them sit and soak in the water?
Afghani femmed seeds/pollen project. Hit it with its own pollen this morning…gonna let more sacs open to get the most seeds possible…every pistil must catch a spore (grain of pollen?)!!

Unfortunately the PPP pollen from lefthand seeds must have gone bad…dont see any seeds forming on the branch I hit with that pollen.
But the big yield auto pollen has totally taken! On this branch there are 4 budsites (only 3 visible in pic), but you can clearly see the seeds are formed and just have to ripen!!

So I have 2 of these cannabis by Corey strawberry haze x banana og that look, smell and produce amazingly…so I took some of that femmed Afghani pollen and hit a few lowers on some clones. So I’m excited to see if I can get some femmed crosses from these!!

I’m giving them a set amount, and letting them soak all of it in that they will. I’m trying to remember, it’s 20% of the total pot volume I’ve been giving, maybe.
I grow. With supersoil, so I would love to be keeping the top layers more moist, but you gotta do what you gotta do. If I need to I can repopulate the micros with a tea or some labs.

Other side project…
Have my Bodhi DLA11 males isolated. Keeping this one. It threw flowers super fast and has great structure. Still unsure if I want to make more pure dla11seeds or just use a dla11 female and hit it with femmed Afghani pollen. This male is on borrowed time, either way.

And for whatever reason, this one showed balls, so went into isolation with the other boys. Checked on it this morning to see what kind of development was happening and…well…
That’s how to do it! Might have to splurge on a bag instead of a dinky bottle if I end up needing more DE.
And as for mosquito bits/dunks (same thing, right?)…I was searching for them and found 2 “donuts” for about $40 with shipping and a pack of 10 for $60 with shipping. I’ve heard they work well, but frig…I’m growing weed here, not money trees.
