The only thing is that I use lots of fabric pots too. When the soil dries, it shrinks, leaving big gaps around the perimeter of the pot. I’m going to order the dunks, cross my fingers and hope for the best.

I’ve had that going on in my plastic pots as well. I’ve see 1 tiny gnat over the last 4 days, maybe longer.

Following @BudSy advice, I’ve been getting good results using mosquito bits. when I am filling/planting the container, I now stop 1” below the rim, put down a layer of the bits, then finish filling the container. The plants that I already had going, I worked it into the top layer of soil if I didn’t have more room to put more soil.
Also, did you save any pollen?

Dunks
I was a dummy. Dunk in the res did not work for me. Bits and pieces clogged my chit. Lol
So now I put 1 dunk in a half filled gallon jug of RO to make a concentrate. Shaking it up violently from time to time over several hours, or overnight.
Then strain it thru paper towel and add to res.

I still have the dunks in my shopping cart…my DE and bottom watering seems to be having a positive effect. Have only seen 1 flying gnat in the last 2 hours.

So long as you can keep the soil dry to a couple of centimeters of the surface you should avoid them being able to lay eggs.
That’s how my problem started when I switched to ten gal pots from five, I had no bowl big enough for the pots to sit in so I could not water from the bottom anymore.

Also does water deprivation make buds finish faster?..that 4 foot bitch that i stapled to the wall is drooping hard, but I don’t want Edward scissorhamds here taking up a bunch of space, so gonna chop her a few weeks early…gonna make some more oil anyway, so…

I don’t think no water causes them to finish early, it will make them all bendy and droopy. That’s why they recommend doing branch bending and cracking just before watering.
