NL line is Afghan x Indonesia. and/or Afghan/Mexican…Indica crossed to a PURE sativa. a few years of selective breeding and u get a strian that finishes in 45 days… Its even falsely claimed by some as an Afghan/Thai, which still would the same thing, Fast Indica x LONG Sativa.
still = 45 day strian. Nl#1, #2 ,#5 and original issue 5x2. all are 6-7wks strians. The 5x2 that came later after nevils arrest takes longer, up to 9wks.
Sk#1 is 3 sativas and 1 indica. MN Shit is clocked at 45-50 days.
The pre-holland version from Sacred is ripe at 8-9wks.
Ak-47 is a F1 hybrid, 3 sativas and 1 indica. done in 60-65 days. THAT IS AN F1 for fucks sake. which could flower from any time from 6 wks to 16weeks. but it flinsihes at 9wks because Simon selected bad ass parents. Not easy to do.

It means we select, or choose, plants in each generation that display certain traits we deem desirable, and utilize those in the process of hybridizing a new variety. A fast flower is a desireable trait to a cashcropper.

If it went longer it was considered a LONG Floweriing Strain. we never grew hazes(10+wks) for profit, bc u cant get more money for them. Unelss yur in the Dam… at that time… so the longest things cash-croppers ran were 9wk max.

there was a strian, called Liberty Hill that was around San Antone, San Marcos. great gear man.
I had an uncle that used to grow on the gulf, aransas pass/port aransas area… he is dead and this was before i knew what weed was…
that was before my time, but from what i gather it was the golden days.
