Put the air pump on a piece of foam, like rubber flooring piece. It will pretty much silence it. Neoprene, like mouse pads, works well too…

I no I’m obsessed with her she’s in w the favorites that’s for sure:smiling_face_with_three_hearts: glad we took cuts still waiting on roots, I’m also really loving the younger ufs18 she’s small but the bud structure looks like it’s going to be nice, started to get a lemon smell off her too I feel like I always smell lemon  or get lemon smelling phenos I’m not complaining by any means I’m not that great at smells or pinpointing them, anyway the jawlato is a looker too nice big white buds on her. I’m a fan of them all however there’s always the stand out few that are just special for whatever reason hoping the high is as good as it looks on these who knows after harvest I could have a completely different favorite

Ya the herms are no fun :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: did get one that didn’t herm so not all is lost I will get to taste some no real smell yet from her, just glad I spotted it b4 taking cuts off them not something I want to keep around

Checked the cuts yesterday just making sure the water on the bottom hadn’t evaporated, and to my surprise one of the Jawlato cuts has two tiny roots starting to emerge so very excited, went back and checked the thread its been 11 days for the Jawlato, ufs18 and SD it’s been 12 days since taking the ak cuts aka pinky. This jawlato is looking to be something special she was the fastest to flower wen flipping and is the first to root. Am honestly just really happy that we were able to get at least one so far to root as this is our first attempt at taking any cuts :sunglasses: that’s one down 4 more to go only need one of each strain, unfortunately there’s only one of the SD and ufs18 fingers crossed they take I’m hopeful

Happy growing :seedling:

I should be making some UFS#18 seeds this fall assuming no snags, managed to get a boy and a girl from the two I planted (won from @HaRdRoC’s server raffle). They been in flower about 10 days now. I moved the male to the boys club / love shack for the moment, and had to chop off his stretch to fit. That stretch I have no plans for, so I tossed it in the bubble cloner literally shoving it in the airlline hole, no prep at all. Still no roots, but this is it a week later not even in a puck:

Have you ever tried a bubble cloner? I tried with peat pellets and failed at first. Bubble cloner gave me nearly 100% success rate…

No never tried a bubble cloner, will have to look into that. This is our first attempt, have been wanting to take cuts for awhile now just space was limited. This run had so many nice plants that I said screw it n got a mini tent for the dinning room to keep the cuts in. Got the man a seed starter kit for Christmas last year, have just been using the pellets that came w those. We don’t use them for starting seeds in  tried wasn’t a fan

That’s crazy it’s still alive after a week. These plants are always amazing me w how much they can handle. Hope it all works out w the seeds

Out of the 3 ufs I have in flower rn two had a rough start to life and the 3rd was started later as a backup incase the first 2 didn’t make it. I can see a difference in structure as well as feel it wen touching the buds already, only thing the 3rd didn’t veg as long so is smaller in general, and has hardly any side branching so was only able to get 1 cut. Hoping to see more roots in the next week, I was thinking it would take at least 3-4 weeks till I saw anything still might it’s up to them I’m just along for the ride

Yeah, the bubble cloner changed my ability to make successful clones 100%. If there’s a failure its because I had the stem cut too short, or too long (too short just takes longer to root most times, too long ends up in the water and rots). Really cheap to DIY one, and that means you can make it to fit your space. I have a 17g tub, but I have seen 5g buckets used the same way, just a matter of what fits your needs really. Just need an air pump / airstones, and something to hold the clones (I bought pucks this time, but used pipe insulation in the past). Maybe a heater / seedling heat mat (water temps around 80-81 seem ideal).

Right??? I mean, thats a LOT of stalk and leafage to not be dropping and still be turgid! You can see how much I cut off to make a clone with the other cuttings in the pic, that is just a 10" stalk, with branches, saying “LEMME POLLINATE THE LADIES!” And he’s met his maker today. Saw a pollen sac open, and thats a little too close to the photo tent that I don’t want pollinated… no bueno for him, but at least the “rest of him” lol, will live on to do the deed! (thats the actual plant half).

I will do a selective pollination on the UFS#18 only, and collect pollen as well, so if ya want more seeds, I’m sure there will be some. The two I grew looked pretty identical, same rate, same height when one showed pistils and the other showed balls, both took about a week of 12/12 to start flowering. Neither is very branchy either, maybe 8 - 10 (4-5 nodes) on the bottom half…

Just seeing any roots on the pellets I would be elated. More will come, seeing some means the plant is sending em out which is just what I wanna see. In the bubble cloner I see roots start between 7 and 14 days on avg, I then leave em another week to develop. In the pods, I’m sure theres lots more than you can see  And if the cut isnt droopy and still green, there’s still plenty of hope!

With the bubble cloner you can also practice when you do some defoliation. I always seem to toss cuts into one when I have one running, regardless if there’s space for them. It helps to dial in your cutting prep too, knowing how long you want the stem, placement above the water, etc.

Good luck with your other cuts, I look forward to some updates  always interesting to watch others have success with ways that didn’t work for me, I always learn something somehow…

Ya id feel bad if he starved to death definitely no bugs for him to eat indoors, I’ve had a few over the yrs one layed an egg sack on the fan cord one grow, it was easier to feed them wen we had a lizard, they really are so cool. Pretty sure this is a male as he was flying all over his wing looks broken at the bottom tho, the females don’t really fly or it could be opposite can’t remember

So yesterday I found a baby squirrel in the street, waited to see if it’s mother was around she never showed up, poor thing fell outta his nest I think, so I took him inside gave him a bath and some Pedialyte, went and got him some powdered puppy milk too, will be calling the wildlife rescue near me today to see if they can take care of him till he can fend for himself apparently they are self sufficient at 12 weeks, after some research I think he’s between 4-5 weeks old his eyes are open still cloudy and his top teeth are just starting to come in,

Been calling him Roger, he’s such a cutie

Fits in my palm :purple_heart:

Another cut has roots showing it’s one of the SD so far that’s two one jawlato one SD.

The plants in flower are starting to stack nicely, even the first two ufs18 are starting to feel more dense wen squeezed lightly. The smells are starting to change on some, the 5 gallon ak smells sweet like blueberry the 3 gallon ak pinky has a deeper smell with hints of sweetness, also the pink is turning brown as the pistols mature, noticing more little bits of pink on the 5 gallon ak nothing like pinky however still pretty cool. Out of the 3 ufs18 one still has a lemon smell the other two have changed can’t quite tell exactly wat it is just yet hoping it comes to me randomly later. The Jawlato is still a strong lemon almost turpentine smelling really intense in ur face smell.

Aww! How adorable!!! Hope they can come save it. Once they are touched by humans, the raccoons usually kill them if you put them back outside.

Yay on the clones rooting!!

Found a place to bring Roger they only take admissions from 10am-2pm tho and I work till 2, also think it’s a girl idk it’s my first baby squirrel lol, anyway hoping it hangs on till Saturday, having trouble getting it to eat anything really, it sleeps alot, at this point just trying to make it as comfortable as possible, poor thing is so little it definitely looks sick  I tried my best to save it.

This whole experience has just increased my love of animals, I would love to someday be able to volunteer in rehabilitating injured or orphaned animals, I really like animals more then ppl most days

Trust me I’m no angel lol thank you tho, I just couldn’t leave it there to die, I did get the recommended powdered puppy milk, am open to any suggestions anyone has. I’m worried it might have a parasite and need antibiotics, I’m omw home now to check on her. I’m still trying to feed it even if it only takes a little bit, I’m more worried that it hasn’t gone the bathroom yet that means it’s not getting the fluids I’m trying to give it  it’s breathing is also really heavy at times like it’s gasping poor thing I just don’t want it to suffer more then it has too
