The Canadian Contingent (Part 1)

These guys make it easy! Have used them before. For, reference they are just reselling whats on alibaba ( so is most of amazon) so its often worth checking if you can get it there more cheaply. Although its kind of challenge to navigate.

I’m chiming in super late but Grow it all (geary street, toronto) has 2x2 kits made up with BOTH AC Infinity tents AND HLG lights!!!

Their online kit shows the HLG 65w, but they carry the 100w version and will upgrade if asked

Thank you good sir! I ended up going with the Atreum Hydra 1000. Tested very well between both Migro and Dr. Coco so I had to get it. Not Canadian unfortunately… we need to start making more shit in this country.

Cool looking light for a good price @NorthNorthNugs

Ugh I’m a carpenter not an electrician hahaha; I’m confused how many watts total is that pushing ?? 1000 or 100? Lol

I’m looking to make the switch to LED for my veg cabinet - possibly flower too. But there are so many choices these days

An advertised 1000watt LED is 1000watt “equivalent” but usually draws give or take a watt or two, 100watts from the wall.

theirs no way that 100 watts led of any brand is equal to a 1000 watt, simply a marketing ploy my friend

with good leds you want approximately 30w/sqft

It was tested by Migro and Dr Coco and it’s a little over 100 watts. Honestly, I’m a bit confused by the “equivalent” talk. I just read an article and watched a video and was satisfied. This is the video and this is the article. Keep in mind, I was looking for a light for a 2x2 tent.

What impressed me with the Atreum Hydra is the canopy penetration and efficiency. Super important when choosing a grow light.

Here are a few excellent technical resources when searching for a grow light:

Stress tester tents haha. It’s a feature not a bug. Only stable shit gonna come out of there’.

I think the best comparison for lighting is how many micromoles it emits. μmol

I loved the “commuting four hours every day in bumper to bumper traffic from Brampton or even Scarborough.”

LOL… That WAS me!.. :vulcan_salute:

The Beaverton always ‘punches above their weight’…

Not only does Turning Red depict Meilin transforming into a giant red panda any time her emotions get out of control, it careens further into the surreal by never once depicting her walking up 4 flights of stairs to a cramped apartment

:rofl::rofl: Hilarious man!

Hey fellow canucks! I have a question around starting my outdoor grow. I live in Nova Scotia and have been toying with the idea of trying to squeeze in two auto grows outdoors this season. I was wondering if anyone had insight into doing this.

I was thinking of starting some indoors this week, and then moving them outside at the end of the month, that would bring me to the end of June with the initial auto run, and then starting the second run indoors at the end of May, and then moving those outside at the end of June.

Does this seem feasible? I love growing in my tent, but also really do enjoy spending time outside with the tents, and by forgoing photo plants, I would be able to not really worry about the length of the days.

Another scenario would be doing autos first, and then starting photos indoors in May and moving them outside at the end of May.

I stopped doing photos outside, the autos I have tried did fairly well with only minor mold issues.

The problem is starting them in the same pot they will finish in, if you start them inside using organic soil, as you want big pots, not a problem if your using bottled or box fertilizers though.

You should be good for putting them out near the end of June if it’s not chucking it down with rain like the last couple of years lol.

Im doing this in Toronto this year. 5 gal fabric pots starting on may 1st with outside by end of the month.

Round 2 = july 1st.
