The Canadian Contingent (Part 1)

It seems quite silly to me, paying money to be a judge.

Perhaps I could give them my résumé of judgmental behaviour and I’d get it FREE!

Still sounds like a good time though.

I know what ya mean lol. I couldn’t bring myself spend that cash either. I have a room full for a reason.

You are entering, I would be happy to be a pre judge for you if it helps :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lol pre judge, not a bad idea. Best way to find out if it’s competition quality before hand

it would be nice if they told u how many people are entering before u buy it. The price could be not bad depending on how much your getting lol

I’ll probably end up buying the judging kit myself out of curiosity

He also makes alot of money $$$ from his company.
I bet he gets it for free just for posting it on his youtube for publicity. Just guessing though.

I guess it could be but the swag has very little value to me and it would take a shit ton of participants at 1 g and .2 g portions to make over $700 worth it.

Or he makes more monetizing his videos than he spends on the kit, like all those youtube millionaire eight year olds filming themselves opening toys.

That is true but I got to say, in a world full of people so easily influenced by all these so called influencers I do fear for humanity as a whole.

id still pay $200 for an oz if it catches my noses attention in the right way lol seems to be hard to come by the same quality weed I used to buy when I was younger. I’ll probably convince my brother to split on it with me lol

He is just a regular guy like everyone else.
But people can glorify whatever/whoever they want I guess.

Id never pay that much money to be a “judge”.
If others want to then all the power to them!. :slightly_smiling_face: :v:

I share this sentiment when people openly base their lives off of the influence of others.

I mean yeah I wanted to be a ninja turtle in '88. So I took karate and some gymnastics, eat pizza, and make a point of being totally radical. Even bought the breakfast in 1990.

But yeah, not easily influenced.

Which Ninja Turtle did you want to be?

Michaelangelo, dude!

Although repeated failure with nunchucks has led me to believe I would rather be Raphael. I wouldn’t question anyone wielding a sai.

You?

Bebop or Rocksteady. ( I think those were the names? )

To me the appeal is a variety of a bunch of different strains from hopefully decent growers. My biggest struggle with growing so far has been finding a strain that satisfies my taste buds. We could do something similar here on OG for much cheaper and without the judging, I think it would be fun.

It certainly would be alot of fun. Great opportunity to try many different strains they’ve never tried.
I just don’t understand that price tag…I mean, the people that want their product judged are giving the product to be judged.
I know the organizers of the event have to make some money for the time… just sounds a little steep to me, and a bit of a cash grab.
Maybe my pockets are not full enough.

It’s very funny you say that.

Me too.

I remember being disillusioned in 2007 when they rebooted it.

My whole life has been commodified and is being sold to me again.

And now the KITH

In boxing it works the other way around.

Just at a quick glance of the previous winners, the kit would land you an easy but expensive ounce of bud. Not sure of the entries to winners ratio but the quantity of bud might be worth it, if not maybe the novelty.
